David Simpson is 44 years old electrician for
PPS Electrical from Cumbria. His job is doing
electrical work on sites and helping wire things in
new buildings. David lives at home with his
girlfriend, Claire, who works at Sellafield Nuclear
Plant. As a result David and Claire’s jobs they
would fall under the B bracket of ABC1 profiles
David has two children,Grace, who is 19 and
living away at university at Leeds Beckett,
studying speech and language therapy and Luc,
who is 16 and at college studying media. Luc
lives with his Mum and step-dad.
He shops at Tesco and has an Ocado shop
weekly. This way is easiest for him as he is often
working till late at night. His clothes are
predominantly Ralph Lauren and Hugo Boss. He is a big fan of watches and owns a
few expensive ones including an Omega worth over £10,000
.
David is an avid fan of both golf and football. His favourite football team is
Manchester United because his Dad grew up there and supports that team. In his
spare time he loves to play golf with his full set of Taylor made golf clubs and he
travels all over to play on many different courses.
In David's spare time he likes to both play golf and watch TV. He is a big fan of
World's Strongest Man and waits all year for it. He is not a big reader and doesnt
enjoy many books, however, he did enjoy Lord of the Rings. He enjoys going on
holiday at least once a year and he likes Greece and Turkey which he visites often
because he prefers hot weather to cold weather .
David spends his money mostly on bills and leisure. The leisure includes golf based
items like, new gloves, clothes , balls and clubs. He plays every week all over the
country because he loves the sport and plays with all his friends. He drives an Audi
Rs7 which he loves but complains that it uses too much petrol.
He is also a huge fan of saltwater and freshwater fishing. He does this as much as
possible and no matter the weather. He loves to catch and eat what he can and
likes all types of fish. He is in the target audience for Today’s Golfer because he
loves all things golf and plays it in his spare time and fits in the age, gender,
spending power and lifestyle brackets for the magazine.
