Materials:
*Yarn:
I used: Mercerised Cotton 8/4 from Järbo Garn, Fingering, (170.0 meters/ 50 grams).
32087 Cinnamon brown (≤ 60 grams)
32000 Unbleached (≤ 20 grams)
32012 Black (≤ 10 grams)
*Hook: 2,25 mm
*2 safety eyes (10 mm)
*1 safety nose (15 mm)
*Tapestry needle
*Tweezers (are very helpful when stuffing through small openings.)
*Fiberfill or stuffing material of your choice.
*Running marker; use some scrap thread to mark the beginning of each round.
*Stitch markers (in addition to the running thread marker.)
Size when made with the above listed yarn and hook:
≅ 17 cm / 6.7 inches tall
Pattern Notes:
Work in spiral. Do not join rounds unless specifically stated in the pattern.
      Crochet tight!
Make all parts in the order given in the pattern. Some pieces must be done before starting another
piece. Crochet over any new yarn ends to secure them if not told differently.
Some rounds (marked with *) are shorter or longer than the preceding round which means the
running marker should be moved subsequently backwards or forward to mark the new starting point
       of the next round.
Occasionally you will see the symbol ≅ (meaning approximately) preceding the number of stitches
indicated. This means the number of stitches it takes for you to reach a specific point (most often the
center) of the piece you’re working on may vary by one or two, depending on yarn, hook, gauge or
       simply your individual crochet style.
Short and long rounds have two numbers in the “Totals” column. The first is the number of stitches
performed in that part of the description, the second (inside parentheses) is the resulting number of
       stitches around the edge.
Placing the extra stitch marker: When pattern says: ”…, place marker ,…” the marker should be in the
last made stitch. (ex: “sc 30, place marker,” means the 30:th stitch is the one to mark.)
Crochet over any new yarn ends to secure them if not told differently.
Look for notes & hints to the right in the table.
      Stuff firmly!

Sew down the black facial parts with a few stitches where needed, but avoid the mouthline to keep (Pic 17)
it a little floppy.
If you prefer, you can also sew down the blaze with a couple of stitches, using the unbleached yarn.

Assembly:
For a moveable head: Insert the neck joint into the opening of the body and pull on the (Pic 40-41)
surrounding yarn end to capture the joint inside. Carefully secure the yarn end, taking care
not to go through the joint with the needle in the process.
For a fixed head: Pin the head to the opening in the neck and sew it in place.
Tie the front legs together with a piece of yarn. Place the hind legs on either side of the body (Pic 42)
as shown. The paws of the hind legs touch the paws of the front legs and all four paws are in
         contact with the underlying surface.
Pin the hind legs to the body and make sure the dog balances nicely before sewing them on. (Pic 43)
When satisfied, sew them on with small stitches around the thigh line only to begin with,
leaving a small opening on the inside towards the belly. (Pic 44)
Add a small amount of stuffing to the inside of the thigh before closing it up entirely. (Pic 45)
Pin the chest patch to the dog’s chest and sew it in place. (Pic 46)
