Easter Sermon
Easter Sermon
It was at Mount Moriah that Abraham was going to sacrifice his son. The highest peak of Mount
Moriah is Golgotha, where Jesus was to be crucified.
Via Dolarosa is the street where Jesus carried the cross all the way to Golgotha. God withheld
Abraham from plunging the knife into his son.
But at the cross, no one withheld the Father from sacrificing Jesus, His Son.
We know that God loves us because He did not withhold His Son, His only Son whom He loved.
Jesus Christ came and did what no man could ever do - He stopped the reign of death.
God never meant for man to die. God hates death and sin. He counts death as an enemy.
Jesus came that you might reign in life and have life more abundantly. When you reign in life, sin
doesn't. When you reign in life, the devil doesn't.
At the cross, Jesus became our sin, so that we could become the righteousness of God in Him.
At the cross, Jesus received our sins, and all the curse and condemnation fell upon Him.
In the Old Testament, the priest examines the lamb for blemishes before it is slain as a sin
offering.
God is not examining you (the offerer), He is examining your lamb.
When the priest approves of the lamb, the offerer lays his hands on the lamb. It is an act of
identification.
All the sins of the offerer is transferred to the lamb and the righteousness of the lamb is transferred
to the offerer.
Now the offerer walks away with the favor and the blessings of God.
When we trust in Jesus, we transmit all our sins upon Him and God transfers all Jesus'
righteousness to our account.
The first time that Jesus bled was in the Garden of Gethsemane. Science tells us that when
someone undergoes tremendous stress, his/her blood capillaries burst, causing him/her to sweat
blood.
There is redeeming quality in Jesus' blood. When He sweat blood, He redeemed us from the curse
of sweat and He gave us the crown of peace.
Jesus' never addressed God as "My God" except at the cross. He always referred to Him as "My
Father".
He cried out "My God, My God" at the cross to tell us that God had forsaken Him. At the cross,
God dealt with Jesus as a Sacrifice, not as His Son.
The Father loved Jesus. Before the foundation of the world, Jesus was already daily the Father's
delight.
At the cross, as Father, His heart was broken. Jesus was never more pleasing to the Father than
at the cross.
Because of what Jesus did at the cross, we can now say "My God, My God, why have you so
blessed me!"
When Jesus died, Jesus went down to Sheol to proclaim His victory to all the departed Old
Testament saints. Now that place called Abraham's Bosom is empty.
God loves you with a love so strong, so deep, that He sent His Son to die on your behalf.
If you want Jesus to live in you and to receive eternal life, pray the salvation prayer here.
Jesus Christ came and did what no man could ever do - He stopped the reign of death. God never
meant for man to die. God hates death and sin. He counts death as an enemy.
The only hope for the world today is not the next president, money, government etc. The only
hope for the world today is Jesus Christ.
There are 89 chapters in the four gospels. Out of the 89 chapters, there are only 4 chapters about
Jesus' birth - the first 30 years of His life.
But 85 chapters are about His 3 and a half years of ministry on earth. 27 chapters are about the
last 8 days of His life on earth.
The world emphasizes on Jesus' birth and they only see Him as a good person who existed, but
the Holy Spirit emphasizes on Jesus' death and resurrection.
It is typical of the world to have things upside down. We should be celebrating Jesus' death and
resurrection even more!
What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Jesus came that you
might have life, even in this life.
Even on your way to heaven, you can have life more abundantly. You can have a rich life in every
sense of the word.
I Corinthians 15:3-8 - This is the crux of the gospel. The truth that Jesus died for our sins is the
most important thing for someone to know - not the Ten Commandments, creation, etc.
Jesus gave to Peter (Cephas) a restoration of conscience first, of which the account of that
incident is shrouded from us, before a giving Peter a restoration to ministry in John 21.
If Judas did not hang himself, Jesus would have shown Himself to Judas first. The one who sinned
the most, that's the one that Jesus would show Himself to first. Where sin abounds, grace
superabounds.
We have to rule out hallucination because it is impossible for five hundred people to be
hallucinating that they saw Jesus.
“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according
to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the
Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over
five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have
fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was
seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.” (I Corinthians 15:3-8 NKJV)
John 20:1:18 - The stone wasn't rolled away for Jesus to come out from the tomb. It was so that
the disciples could see that the tomb was empty.
Jesus' body after He rose again is a risen body. Before Jesus' Second Coming, there will be the
Rapture whereby all believers will be caught up in a twinkling of an eye to be with Jesus forever.
That will be the final redemptive work of Jesus in us - a new incorruptible body. We'll be in a new
body in heaven because our old body cannot take all the pleasures of heaven.
All children go to heaven.
The word "loved" in "the disciple whom Jesus loved" is in imperfect tense, which means that Jesus
keeps on loving John.
Mary had a heart full of love for Jesus, but she had no intelligent faith in Him. She thought that
somebody stole Jesus' body.
The reason why John overtook Peter is because Peter hasn't been restored yet. He was feeling
guilty for having denied Jesus. Guilty feet have got no rhythm.
If someone stole Jesus' body, why would the thief spend time to unwrap the linen clothes from
Jesus' body and leave the expensive linen clothes behind in the tomb?
If the Pharisees had stolen the body, the fastest way to stop the preaching of the disciples would
be to produce Jesus' dead corpse. But they did not and could not produce it.
John saw (saw is "blepo" - to see with the naked eye) the linen cloths. Peter saw (saw here is
"Theoreo" - the word from which the word theory comes from - logical and reasoning seeing) the
linen cloths. There was no sign of haste or rush - usually where a thief breaks in to steal, there
would be signs of haste. Peter saw (saw here is "Eido" - revelatory and intuitive-seeing, which is
by the Holy Spirit) and believed.
Mary looked in the tomb and saw what appeared like the Ark of the Covenant - the two angels on
either side.
In the Bible angels are usually recording as standing, but these two angels are sitting because the
work is finished!
Why did Mary love Jesus so much? Because she knew that she had been forgiven of much. Jesus
cast seven devils out of her.
Mary only had eyes for Jesus. She didn't even care that heavenly angels were sitting in front of
her.
It is better for one to have a heart that's full of love for Jesus and little doctrine, rather than a head
full of doctrine but a cold heart devoid of love.
Jesus' first act after He rose from the dead was to dry the tears of a woman - Mary.
Adam gave up the whole earth for a piece of fruit. The first Adam was a gardener. Whereas the
Second Adam came to an earth that was full of rebellion and corruption, redeemed it and gave it
back to man.
Jesus said "My Father and your Father... My God and your God.." to Mary.
Because of what Jesus did at the cross, God is now our Father. God hears our prayers because
He is our Father.
“Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark,
and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. Then she ran and came to Simon
Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken away the
Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.” Peter therefore went out,
and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb. So they both ran together, and the other
disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. And he, stooping down and looking in, saw the
linen cloths lying there; yet he did not go in. Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into
the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, and the handkerchief that had been around His
head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself. Then the other disciple,
who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. For as yet they did not know
the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. Then the disciples went away again to their
own homes. But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and
looked into the tomb. And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the
feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?”
She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have
laid Him.” Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did
not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you
seeking?” She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away,
tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.” Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned
and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher). Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I
have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to
My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ” Mary Magdalene came and told the
disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.” (John 20:1-18
NKJV)
Marriage is meant to have a third party - Jesus. To ensure a happy marriage, focus on Jesus.
Don't only keep looking at each other.
“Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where
the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to
them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side.
Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to
you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on
them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” (John 20:19-22 NKJV)
John 20:24-29 - In the resurrected body, shut doors are not a limitation. If Jesus wasn't God,
Jesus would have rebuked Thomas for calling Him "God".
Jesus is one-hundred percent God and one-hundred percent Man. There is a Man in glory, seated
at the right hand of the Father, and His name is Jesus.
“Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other
disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His
hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His
side, I will not believe.” And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with
them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” Then
He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here,
and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas answered and said to
Him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have
believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”” (John 20:24-29 NKJV)
John 21:1-6 - Peter is a natural-born leader. The disciples follow him. But sometimes a great
leader can lead people to fruitlessness.
Leadership alone is not the answer. Jesus is the Answer! Jesus knows what you are going
through, and He is always at the point of your need.
Sometimes we go through trouble and we are not protected from going through it.
It is better for people's walk with God to experience deliverance from their troubles at the last
moment. At least they will praise God.
Don't take Jesus for granted - Always give Him thanks. Sometimes when we get disappointed by
man, it results in us turning our eyes to look to Jesus instead. After we look to Jesus, we can bless
our family and loved ones.
Do things with righteousness-consciousness and you will find what you need.
When you serve the Lord, don't say "Pastor I don't get paid for serving the Lord". Don't say that!
The Lord blesses you. He will not take your service for free.
You don't get paid a salary, but you get paid THE salary. Don't give to Jesus if you want things to
remain the same. Whatever you give to Jesus, He will multiply it back to you.
“After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this
way He showed Himself: Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the
sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together. Simon Peter said to them, “I am
going fishing.” They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately got
into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning had now come, Jesus
stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Then Jesus said to them,
“Children, have you any food?” They answered Him, “No.” And He said to them, “Cast the net on
the right side of the boat, and you will find some. ” So they cast, and now they were not able to
draw it in because of the multitude of fish.” (John 21:1-6 NKJV)
SECOND
Jesus died on a Passover of the Jews. Passover doesn't always fall on a Friday. There was a
blood moon during the Passover this year. You don't need to worry about the signs, just make
sure that you know that you're right with God.
2000 years ago, Death died when Jesus died at the cross.
God placed Adam in a perfect paradise with more than enough. Why did he sin? God did not
make robots. God gave man the gift of free choice. God cannot exert influence over man's free
choice. With the gift of free choice, there is always the risk of man choosing the dark side. We can
choose our actions, but we cannot choose the consequences of our actions.
Man chose to rebel God, and bowed his knee to the outlaw spirit, Satan. Satan hates us because
we are made in God's image, and attacks us because he is unable to attack God directly.
God has gone ahead of us into our future, and we are joining Him for the ride that He has
prepared.
When they sealed the cave where Jesus was buried, they placed a rolling stone to seal the cave.
They placed a seal of the Roman Empire on the rolling stone, to warn anyone of punishment if
they tried to steal Jesus's body. They even stationed Roman guards to guard the tomb. Those
measures didn't prevent Jesus from leaving the tomb. Jesus's resurrected body transcends
matter, time and space - He didn't have to move the rolling stone aside. At the Rapture, our bodies
will be transformed to become like His.
God hates Death. God's plan for us is to be healthy, happy and young forever. Sin brings death
and destruction.
The more you love a cancer patient, the more you hate the cancer. God hates sin because He
loves us.
Jesus came to restore us to His own image - the image of the Son of God.
We are children of Light, not of darkness.
God is outside time, and He is able to take all our sins throughout time, place them on Jesus at the
cross, and forgiveness is available to all those who accept it throughout time.
Christianity is not a religion, it is a reality. God wants to offer us a relationship with Him.
The earth is placed in a perfect position relative to the sun where it is too far to burn, and too near
to freeze. It takes more faith to believe in the Big Bang Theory which suggests that a random
explosion resulted in this perfect positioning of earth.
1 Corinthians 15:3-8 - The crucifixion of Jesus was a known fact at the time. It was the 'headline
news'. Paul talked about witnesses in regards to Jesus being resurrected from the dead, because
not everyone saw it happen. Jesus first appeared to Peter, then to others. 500 people seeing
Jesus at once cannot be hallucinating.
"For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according
to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the
Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over
five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have
fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was
seen by me also, as by one born out of due time." (I Corinthians 15:3-8 NKJV)
Even those in hell continue to exist for eternity. The gift of eternal life means getting the life of God
Himself - the deathless life which He keeps on living. "Zoe" in Hebrew means "eternal life"
The feasts, ceremonies and prophecies don't make sense on their own, but when you see the face
of Jesus the King in them, the puzzle pieces fit together and it all makes sense.
If we reject what we don't understand about God and try to make sense of what God is, we are
actually making our logic and reasoning our God. Everyone worships something.
1 Corinthians 15:17-26 - Firstfruits means a sampling of what is to come. Adam is the federal head
of the human race. In the natural, we are linked to Adam. Jesus is the new federal head of the new
race of men - New Creations in Him. A child sins because of his/her sin nature, but is not
responsible for their sins until they reach the age of accountability, because until then, their sin is
not imputed to them. Jesus did not come to make bad people good, but He came to make dead
people live! Jesus is the only righteous One that ever walked this earth. God took Adam's sin and
credited it to all men. At the cross, God took Jesus's righteousness and credited it to all of us.
There was a divine exchange where God took our sins and placed it on Jesus, and God took
Jesus's righteousness and gives to all of us who believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
"And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! Then also those who have
fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men
the most pitiable. But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those
who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the
dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own
order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. Then comes the end,
when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority
and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will
be destroyed is death." (I Corinthians 15:17-26 NKJV)
Romans 4:25 - God did not raise Jesus because He was His Son. "Because of" is "dia" in Greek.
"Dikaio" in Greek means "righteousness". Jesus was raised from the dead to declare that we are
righteous! Jesus would not have been raised if we were not seen as righteous in God's eyes.
Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we can know with certainty that we have been forgiven
and are righteous in God's eyes!
"who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification".
(Romans 4:25 NKJV)
"who was delivered up because of our offences, and was raised up because of our being declared
righteous." (Romans 4:25 YLT98)
Homologous - "Homo" means same, "Logio" means say. We must say the same thing that God
says about us, then we will be in sync with Him.
Dikaiosis - Thayer's definition - The act of God declaring men free from guilt and acceptable to him
abjuring to be righteous, Because God wished to declare us righteous which brings with it the
bestowment of life.
The earth is placed in a perfect position relative to the sun where it is too far to burn, and too near
to freeze. It takes more faith to believe in the Big Bang Theory which suggests that a random
explosion resulted in this perfect positioning of earth.
Fellowship means walking together while being in agreement with each other.
As believers, our standing with God is righteous. It is unchanging. Our state changes and
fluctuates, but not our standing. Never judge your standing by your state. Judge your state by your
standing. Declaring that we are the righteousness of God in Christ doesn't produce licentiousness,
but it produces true holiness.
God is not interested in having the cross somewhere on the building, He is interested in you
having the cross in your heart.
Romans 4:25-5:1 - All the fears that we have come from one fear - the fear that God is not on our
side. If God is on our side, disease, debt, and all our problems have to kowtow to Him. If God is for
you, who can be against you? The resurrection of Jesus is the divine receipt of the payment for
our sins. The receipt is for us to have a right to enter the presence of God. When your conscience
says that it is not enough, show it the receipt. God is the one receiving the payment and He is
satisfied with it! Our feelings have nothing to do with the facts. If we really are in Christ, we are
righteous, whether we feel righteous or not. "Justified" is in the aorist tense.
"who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our
justification. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ," (Romans 4:25-5:1 NKJV)
1 Samuel 1:12-16 - Because we have peace we God, we don't have to yell. God hears our hearts,
not our words. We don't need to pray hard, we need to pray with heart.
"And it happened, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli watched her mouth. Now
Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli
thought she was drunk. So Eli said to her, “How long will you be drunk? Put your wine away from
you!” But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk
neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. “Do not
consider your maidservant a wicked woman, for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I
have spoken until now.”" (I Samuel 1:12-16 NKJV)
The only area that King David did not talk to God about was his sexual life, and that was the area
of his life that gave him the most problems.
Sinners don't sin all the time, and they do right things sometimes. Doing right does not make them
righteous. Today when we are in Christ, whose work at the cross is much more powerful than
Adam's sin, how can sinning change our standing from righteous to unrighteous?
We confess our sins because we are righteous, not because we want to become righteous. Our
standing of righteousness is permanent.
Romans 3:24 - "justified" here is in the present-continuous tense. As believers, there is never a
time or condition where we are not righteous.
"being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus," (Romans 3:24
NKJV)
THIRD
There is no duplicate person because God specializes in uniqueness.
If you have a problem with the word "wealth", then you'll have a problem in heaven because you'll
be walking on gold.
The gospel of grace and peace produces health and prosperity so that you can be a blessing to
many.
God wants His people well and well-supplied!
Why did Jesus rise from the dead? One of the reasons people say is to conquer Death.
Death is but the consequence of our sin.
God never meant for man to die.
His love plan was for man to live forever young, healthy and whole.
God hates sin and death. He counts Death as an enemy.
Death is the final vindication of God's truth. All political-correctness and arguments end when a
person dies.
You hate cancer to the same proportion as your love your loved one who has it.
Why does God hate sin? Because He loves you.
If you admit that you are a sinner, Jesus can be your Savior.
If you don't believe that you are a sinner, then He cannot be your Savior.
Romans 4:24-25 - God exerted His greatest power to raise Jesus from the dead.
That same power is in us because Jesus dwells in us.
All that dwells in the Adam-nature has been removed at the cross. Jesus divested us of it.
Disease is not part of God's nature or plan.
The resurrection of Jesus invests into us His great power.
When God raised Jesus from the dead, He also raised us from the dead!
All sickness, curse, weakness etc was left behind at the cross.
“but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from
the dead, who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our
justification.” (Romans 4:24-25 NKJV)
There are two circles: the Circle of Darkness and the Circle of Light.
Jesus became the centre of the Circle of Darkness.
He wasn't there for Himself. He has no sins of His own to die for. He went to the cross for you and
I to pay for our sins.
Peter, a man of action said Jesus did no sin.
Paul, a man of knowledge said He knew no sin.
John, a man of love said in Him was no sin.
Jesus is also at the centre of the Circle of Light.
Jesus was not raised so that we could become righteous.
We became righteous when Jesus died on the cross.
Jesus rose from the dead BECAUSE we are declared righteous -
How will you know that you have been acquitted of all your sins? When the One who serves your
sentence comes out from prison!
Jesus rising from the dead is a declaration that YOU ARE ACQUITTED!
We should have this attitude that we are dead to sin. You are someone that cannot be charged
with sin once you are a believer.
God cannot stop Adam from sinning because He gave man the gift of free will.
If God used His power to stop Adam, that means that there is still manipulation and that you are
just a robot.
Bad things happen in the world because the world is fallen.
I Corinthians 15:17 - Jesus was not risen from the dead because He is God's Son. That He always
is.
He was raised to declare that we are righteous!
The resurrection of Jesus is not the payment. It is the receipt that proves that we are righteous!
The devil and the Law cannot accuse you anymore.
God has to forgive sins righteously. If God just forgives us by mercy, then where is His
righteousness? He has to forgive us righteously.
If God is unrighteous and He doesn't punish sin, then the whole universe will collapse.
The opposite of the verse below is true: Christ is risen, your faith is energized, and you are no
longer in your sins!
“And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!” (I Corinthians 15:17 NKJV)
Resurrection Sunday 2017 - Jesus was not risen from the dead because He is God's Son. That He
always is. He was raised to declare that we are righteous! The resurrection of Jesus is not the
payment. It is the receipt that proves that we are righteous!
The devil was called "Lucifer" before he fell and He was an archangel.
Michael was not a warring archangel. Gabriel was not a messenger archangel.
All the three archangels Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer were worship archangels - In the beginning
there was nothing to fight because it was perfect.
There are three archangels - God creates many things in threes.
Ezekiel 28:13-15 - Lucifer was created with wealth (precious gems and jewels of all kinds) and
musical instruments built into him.
The Ark of the Covenant was built with two cherubs. The cherubs are guardians of God's
righteousness.
Lucifer was a guardian of God's righteousness.
“You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius,
topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The
workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created. “You
were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of
God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You were perfect in your ways from
the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.” (Ezekiel 28:13-15 NKJV)
“So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a
flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.” (Genesis 3:24 NKJV)
The Ten Commandments are in the Ark of the Covenant - they represent man's rebellion to God.
Once a year, on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), blood is sprinkled onto the mercy seat of the
Ark of the Covenant and the eyes of the cherubs which represent God's eyes, cannot see man's
rebellion.
There is only one thing that God's eyes cannot look through: the blood of His Son.
“And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body
of Jesus had lain.” (John 20:12 NKJV)
Job 1:6-8 - Although the devil is fallen, in some perverted way he still believes that he is a
guardian of God's righteousness.
The devil's work is done in places where God's Law is upheld instead of the cross of Jesus Christ.
The devil knows that the strength of sin is the Law. He will tell you that you can keep the Law.
The lower demons tempt people to do obvious sins. But the higher demons are the religious
demons.
“Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and
Satan also came among them. And the LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So
Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back
and forth on it.” Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is
none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?””
(Job 1:6-8 NKJV)
Psalm 89:14 - God loves mercy and truth, but God's throne is established by righteousness.
The devil's evil plan is to cause God to compromise His righteousness by causing man whom He
loves to fail Him.
The devil hoped that God would somehow compromise His righteousness in order to save man.
He believed that if that happened, God's throne would go to the next one in line for the throne, and
that he would be the one to usurp God's throne.
“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your
face.” (Psalms 89:14 NKJV)
Daniel 6:7-16 - King Darius loved Daniel the most out of all the governors.
When the satrap said "all" the governors, King Darius thought that Daniel was part of the plan as
well, and that's why he approved it.
Despite the written decree being in place, Daniel still prayed.
In this story, King Darius represents God, Daniel represents us, and the satraps represent the
devil and his cohorts.
Here in this part of the story, we see that the love of the king was powerless against the law.
“All the governors of the kingdom, the administrators and satraps, the counselors and advisors,
have consulted together to establish a royal statute and to make a firm decree, that whoever
petitions any god or man for thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of
lions. Now, O king, establish the decree and sign the writing, so that it cannot be changed,
according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter.” Therefore King Darius
signed the written decree. Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And
in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three
times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early
days. Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his
God. And they went before the king, and spoke concerning the king’s decree: “Have you not
signed a decree that every man who petitions any god or man within thirty days, except you, O
king, shall be cast into the den of lions?” The king answered and said, “The thing is true, according
to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter.” So they answered and said before
the king, “That Daniel, who is one of the captives from Judah, does not show due regard for you,
O king, or for the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.” And the
king, when he heard these words, was greatly displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel
to deliver him; and he labored till the going down of the sun to deliver him. Then these men
approached the king, and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is the law of the Medes and
Persians that no decree or statute which the king establishes may be changed.” So the king gave
the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke,
saying to Daniel, “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.”” (Daniel 6:7-16
NKJV)
John 8:3-12 - The Pharisees were not so much interested in upholding God's Law, if not they
would have stoned the woman where she was caught.
No, their purpose was to catch Jesus doing something that compromised God's Law.
The devil is not so much interested in attacking us as compared to attack God's throne.
The devil's purpose is to put God in a dilemma, to see how He can be righteous and yet be
merciful.
Jesus was not pressured by the Pharisees' repeated questioning.
Jesus stooped down twice and wrote on the stony ground to show that He is the God who wrote
the Law on Mount Sinai.
Jesus stoops down to raise us up.
Daniel wasn't guilty of the evil law approved by King Darius, but this woman caught in adultery was
guilty of the perfect and Holy Law.
Jesus said "Neither do I condemn you" because He was on the way to pay for the woman's sins at
the cross.
In the incident of King Darius and Daniel, we see love powerless against the law.
Here in this incident we see the Law powerless against love.
“Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had
set her in the midst, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very
act. Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You
say?” This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But
Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. So when
they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among
you, let him throw a stone at her first.” And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then
those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the
oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When
Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are
those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said
to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more. Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying,
“I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of
life.”” (John 8:3-12 NKJV)
Proverbs 17:15 - "Abomination" is an intense word - The Jews say that it is equivalent to being
trapped in a room with a smelly corpse of a rat that was been dead for a few days.
If you are a believer and you condemn YOURSELF (who is now righteous), that's hypocrisy and
it's an abomination to the Lord.
If you are not saved and you think you are righteous, that is also hypocrisy and is also an
abomination to the Lord.
“He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, Both of them alike are an
abomination to the LORD.” (Proverbs 17:15 NKJV)
“For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive
abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus
Christ.)” (Romans 5:17 NKJV)
Resurrection Sunday 2017 - God loves mercy and truth, but God's throne is established by
righteousness. The devil's evil plan is to cause God to compromise His righteousness by causing
man whom He loves to fail Him. The devil hoped that God would somehow compromise His
righteousness in order to save man.
Under the Old Covenant there is a law that says that if you had leprosy but it only covered your
arms and/or forehead, you would be declared unclean and you would have to be isolated from the
camp.
Whereas if you had leprosy all over your body, the priest would declare you clean.
What it symbolises is this: When you believe that you are a sinner through and through, then God
will say to you "No problem, I'm your Savior!".
But if you believe that you are not all that bad, and that your flesh is not so bad, then Jesus cannot
be your Savior.
The cross changes everything. God is righteous in making us righteous! He didn't compromise His
righteousness.
On the night of the Passover, when God saw the blood, He caused the Angel of Death to pass
over that household.
It's not when the angel sees the family's good works, it's when it sees the blood!
If an Israelite said to himself "I reject all guilt, and God loves me, he won't judge me.", that's false
peace because it's on the wrong premise.
When he wakes in the morning he will still cry his eyeballs out because his son will die.
He believed in the love of God without the sacrifice.
If another Israelite and his son are in their house and they have the blood on their doorpost, the
son won't die, even if they spent the night huddled together in fear.
They worried needlessly. They have peace with God but they are not possessing that peace.
Many believers go through life feeling depressed and afraid because they aren't established in this
truth:
The blood gives us the security. The word saying "I will pass over you" gives us the assurance.
Isaiah 54:13-14 - It doesn't say that you will teach your children.
It says that your children will be taught directly by the Lord.
Great will be the shalom of your children.
Don't just focus on your kids. Focus on your walk with God - are you established in the truth that
you are the righteousness of God in Christ?
We live in a world of terror, but when we are established in righteousness, no terror will come near
us.
“All your children shall be taught by the LORD, And great shall be the peace of your children. In
righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear;
And from terror, for it shall not come near you.” (Isaiah 54:13-14 NKJV)
Isaiah 54:17 - Weapons will be formed against you, but they shall not prosper.
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in
judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their
righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.” (Isaiah 54:17 NKJV)
Matthew 6:31-33 - Seek first Jesus' righteousness and all the lower needs in life will be ADDED to
you.
God doesn't see us as outside of Jesus.
Jesus is the measure of our righteousness.
We are as righteous as Jesus. To say otherwise is an abomination.
If you put the primary thing as the primary thing, you will get the secondary benefit too.
If you put the secondary benefit as the primary thing, you will lose both.
Seek intensely to be righteousness-conscious everyday.
It doesn't mean that tongues won't rise against you saying evil things, but they will not succeed
against you.
““Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we
wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need
all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things
shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:31-33 NKJV)
FOURTH
Jesus conquered Death, grave and Hell and rose from the dead.
It was never God’s plan for man to die. God loves man and gave him free choice.
Man can freely choose their actions but they cannot choose the consequence of their actions.
God calls Death an enemy.
The shortest verse in the Bible says: “Jesus wept”. Jesus wept at Lazarus’ tomb because it was
never God’s plan for man to die.
God is a Judge. He is a loving and generous God but He also has to exact justice.
God is Love but He also has to preside as a Judge.
Man chose to sin against God so Death, sickness and every bad thing came into the world as a
consequence of the sin.
God hates sin but He loves the sinner. To the degree which God loves us, He hates sin.
No one could dream of God’s plan to send His Son to die for us so that He can be righteous in
making us righteous.
Man sins because they are sinners. Sin is hereditary in the blood because of Adam’s sin. A child
doesn’t have to be taught to lie - they know it already.
Jesus' death at the cross has perfectly cleansed us of our leprosy of sin. His resurrection from the
dead is the proof that we are justified and righteous!
Jesus' resurrection is the proof that we have been perfectly cleansed of our leprosy of sin
“but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from
the dead, who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our
justification.” (Romans 4:24-25 NKJV)
Numbers 5:1-3 - Under the Law, the lepers had to be put out of the camp because they were
considered unclean.
Jesus cleaned the leper, He stopped the discharge of the woman who had the issue of blood for
12 years, and He raised Lazarus from the dead.
“And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: “Command the children of Israel that they put out of the
camp every leper, everyone who has a discharge, and whoever becomes defiled by a corpse. You
shall put out both male and female; you shall put them outside the camp, that they may not defile
their camps in the midst of which I dwell.”” (Numbers 5:1-3 NKJV)
Leviticus 14:1-7 - Leprosy represents sin. The priest represents our Lord Jesus Christ and the one
bringing us to the priest is the Holy Spirit.
The two birds: one bird represents Jesus’ death and the other bird represents Jesus’ resurrection.
The earthen vessel represents man. The running water represents the Holy Spirit.
The cedar wood represents the cross.
The scarlet represents the scarlet robe that the soldiers put on Jesus' bruised and bloodied back.
By the time they stripped Him, the blood would have dried up and stuck on the robe and it would
have been excruciating for Jesus to have the robe torn from His flesh.
The hyssop represents the sponge soaked with vinegar on a hyssop stick (John 19:28-30) that the
soldiers offered to Jesus when Jesus said that He thirsted.
Therefore the elements mentioned in the cleansing of the leper in Leviticus - cedar wood, scarlet,
hyssop and the blood of the bird that was killed - portrays fully the picture of Jesus at the cross.
In the Bible, 7 is the number of perfection and completion. The seven times of sprinkling of blood
represents perfect cleansing.
The living bird represents Jesus and the one who is to be cleansed from leprosy represents us.
The living bird is only let go when the leper is cleansed - Jesus cannot be let out of the prison of
Death until we are pronounced clean by God.
It’s like Jesus and Death got into a battle and Jesus arose but Death did not.
“Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “This shall be the law of the leper for the day of his
cleansing: He shall be brought to the priest. And the priest shall go out of the camp, and the priest
shall examine him; and indeed, if the leprosy is healed in the leper, then the priest shall command
to take for him who is to be cleansed two living and clean birds, cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop.
And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running
water. As for the living bird, he shall take it, the cedar wood and the scarlet and the hyssop, and
dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water. And he
shall sprinkle it seven times on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy, and shall pronounce
him clean, and shall let the living bird loose in the open field.” (Leviticus 14:1-7 NKJV)
If we end up in heaven one day we have Jesus to thank. If we end up in hell one day we have
ourselves to thank.
God doesn’t send anyone to hell. We send ourselves to hell by choosing not to believe in Jesus.
Hebrews 13:12-13 - Jesus suffered outside the gate, where the lepers (which represents sin)
were. He suffered for our own leprosy.
“Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the
gate. Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.” (Hebrews 13:12-
13 NKJV)
When Jesus hung on the cross, God poured out all His wrath upon Jesus. Now God has a
righteous foundation in making us righteous. The veil in the temple was torn - God can now
welcome us into His presence as His children.
The only man-made things in heaven are the wounds in Jesus’ body. The nail-scarred hands and
feet and the spear-wound in His side.
You are not just a face in the crowd. In the Book of Revelation, it says that one of the signs of the
end times is that men will be identified by numbers. The Apostle John saw a vision of that.
Acts 13:37-39 - The Apostle Paul preached a clear message that we are forgiven of our sins if we
believe in Jesus.
We know that we have forgiveness of sins because Jesus was raised from the dead.
In order to be saved, there’s nothing more for us to do except to believe in Jesus.
“but He whom God raised up saw no corruption. Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that
through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is
justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.” (Acts 13:37-
39 NKJV)
Luke 17:12-16 - The leper who returned to give glory to God and thank Jesus knew who the true
Priest was!
“Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.
And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” So when He saw
them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they
were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice
glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a
Samaritan.” (Luke 17:12-16 NKJV)
“When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper
came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus
put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was
cleansed. And Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the
priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”” (Matthew 8:1-4 NKJV)
Today in God’s eyes, you are as righteous as Jesus is. You are declared clean and justified.
Pastor Prince prayed a closing prayer of blessing for us based on Psalm 91. He prayed that we
are safe in the secret place of the Most High protected from sickness, tragedy, accidents, and all
manner of harm - God is our Refuge and our Fortress.
He encouraged us to pray daily to our Heavenly Father, to read the word of God and to never take
God’s protection for granted.
FIFTH
John 1:16-17 - This is Pastor Prince’s favorite verse. It defines his ministry — to differentiate Law
and Grace.
Many Christians are mistaken that God is stern and angry with them.
God the Father does not look like an old man.
Up in heaven, no one is old. Pastor Prince heard God say in his heart, “Up here we are forever
young”. Growing old is because of sin.
If you live in Him, you’ll be forever young.
Those in hell also live forever, but not with the quality of life like believers have: eternal life.
Moses is a servant but Jesus is the Son.
A servant doesn’t have the same standing and position as the Son.
The Law was given from a distance — God gave it from a mountain and through intermediaries:
angels. The mountain was shrouded in darkness, fire, thunderings, causing even Moses to fear
and tremble.
But we are not under Law. We are under Grace.
Grace came — that speaks of closeness and being personal.
The first miracle of the Law done by Moses was to turn water into blood, resulting in death.
The first of miracle of a Grace done by Jesus was to turn water into wine, resulting in celebration.
Under the Law, God visits the sins and inquiries of a person up to the third and fourth generation.
Under Grace, God remembers our sins no more.
There has been a change. At the cross, the Law’s holy and righteous demands were fulfilled and
God’s love for man was magnified.
The Ten Commandments is to be obeyed in both in the actions and in the heart. The Law was
given to bring man to the end of himself, so that he would know he needs a Savior.
Don’t mess with sin — sin will cost you more than you’re willing to pay.
“From his fullness we all received grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses. Grace
and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.” (John 1:16-17 WEB)
We were all born in sin. Our lives are intricately linked to our ancestors — we received sin in our
blood from them.
God made a garden and placed the first man and woman in there.
God told them that they are free to eat from any tree except for 1 tree: the Tree of the Knowledge
of Good and Evil.
God made man with free choice. That tree existed in the garden to allow man to exercise their free
choice.
Man chose sin — you can choose sin but you can’t choose its consequences. The wages of sin is
penalty.
If God forgave man without a righteous basis, He would be loving, but not righteous.
He can’t just sweep our sins under the rug and say that boys will be boys, and just acquit us of our
sins.
Jesus wept at Lazarus’ tomb because He knew that it’s not God’s plan for man to die.
Death is foreign to us. We hate to talk about death. Death has been conquered for us.
Jesus didn’t rise up spiritually — He rose bodily!
Sin has been put away, in the body of Jesus.
God hates sin, but God loves you. Sin is destroying everything good in your life for you.
God hates sin so much because God loves you very much.
How do you know that a prisoner has been cleared of all his charges? When he is released from
the prison. That’s what happened when Jesus rose from the dead — it proves that all our sins
were forgiven. We have been acquitted! You have to use your free choice to believe in Jesus as
your Lord and Savior.
God could have just wiped mankind off the face of this earth and He would be righteous to do so.
He didn’t have to send Jesus to die for us.
He could have just begun anew and created a new creature — after all, He had made angels and
man before.
Under the Old Testament, we were given visual aids — types and shadows.
Under the Law, a sacrificial lamb would be brought to the priest in Israel.
The priest represents God, looking for sins, blemishes and what is unholy.
God doesn’t examine you for your sins. That would be redundant because you’re already there to
offer a sacrifice for your sins. He’s examining your lamb.
The sacrificial lamb represents Jesus. It has to be unblemished.
Pastor Prince believes that Jesus is the most attractive and good looking Person in existence —
because He’s unblemished. Not a trace of disfigurement from sin.
After the priest examines the lamb and approves of the lamb, the offerer lays his hands on the
lamb’s head as a form of identification.
The lamb receives the offerer’s sins — now the lamb bears the offerer’s sins.
Now the offerer is handed a knife and he must kill the lamb — represents Jesus’ death at the
cross.
God gave His Son when the world didn’t care about Him and was rebelling against Him.
The world put God’s Son on the cross, as if to say “This is what we think of your Son!”
But that was God’s plan all along.
Your credit card is not a payment. The animal sacrifices under the Law were like credit card
payments.
The true payment was made by Jesus Christ.
John the Baptist proclaimed about Jesus, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of
the world!”
Now the sins are no longer just covered, but they are taken away.
The sacrificial altar under the Law represents the cross — it has 4 corners.
The lamb is burnt at the altar.
The fire on the altar represents the fire of God’s judgment.
God’s righteousness was satisfied at the cross because Jesus took our punishment at the cross.
This is not religion, this is a reality.
Now the offerer walks away different: he walks away righteous, without his sins.
The lamb took his place of sin and he took the lamb’s place of righteousness.
He walks away with God’s favor shining upon him.
Proverbs 10:6 - Today if you believe in Jesus, you are the righteousness of God in Christ, and
blessings are upon your head.
“Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.”
(Proverbs 10:6 WEB
We are standing in the place that has already been burnt by the fire of God’s wrath.
Now only blessings remain for us. Goodness and mercy will hunt us down all the days of our
lives.
Under the Law, uncleanness was more powerful than holiness and uncleanness could
contaminate you.
Under the Law, people couldn’t touch a leper if not they would become unclean.
At the Mount of Beatitudes, a leper hid behind a large rock listening to Jesus, and he came
secretly to Jesus and said “If You are willing, you can make me clean.”
Jesus touched the leper and said “I am willing,” healing him.
This means that Jesus’ Grace is greater than the uncleanness of sin.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.
He is both willing and able to clean and heal you.
Jesus took our place, dying in our place.
Romans 4:22-25 - How do you know that a prisoner has been cleared of all his charges? When he
is released from the prison.
That’s what happened when Jesus rose from the dead — it proves that all our sins were forgiven.
We have been acquitted! You have to use your free choice to believe in Jesus as your Lord and
Savior.
There’s an enemy out there called Satan and he’s the one causing all the messes in this world.
The thief (Satan) comes to kill, to steal and to restore.
But Jesus came to give us life, and life more abundantly.
We believe in a living Jesus, not a dead Jesus.
“wherefore also it was reckoned to him to righteousness. And it was not written on his account
alone, that it was reckoned to him, but also on ours, to whom it is about to be reckoned — to us
believing on Him who did raise up Jesus our Lord out of the dead, who was delivered up because
of our offences, and was raised up because of our being declared righteous.” (Romans 4:22-25
YLT1898)
SIXTH
God will give you victory over your enemies—you only need to rest in your position in Christ. Your
spirit man is seated with Him in Heaven, far above all principalities and powers. Don’t be afraid of
lack—just see the supply by faith and walk with the Holy Spirit, one step at a time.
When there is a sermon in the Book of Acts recorded for us, the emphasis is on Jesus’
resurrection from the dead.
Jesus was not resurrected to die again like Lazarus or the widow’s son. He was raised in a new
body, never to die again.
The Rapture refers to “harpazo” which is the snatching away of the church. It is a mystery
revealed to the church.
In the twinkling of an eye, we will be changed and be caught up to meet our Lord Jesus in the air.
There will be no trace of sin in our new glorified bodies.
Paul said “those who are alive and remain” twice. It is one thing to be alive, and another to remain.
To remain denotes power.
In the last days, the church will have the revelation that they can remain alive until Jesus’ return.
Elderly Simeon in the temple was promised that he would not see death until his eyes see the
appearing of Israel’s salvation (Yeshua).
“So much the more as you see the Day approaching” means that this coronavirus pandemic will
end and we will be able to gather physically to worship God as a church again before Jesus’
return.
Matthew 24:36-39 - This passage implies the idea of crowds and gatherings before Jesus returns
for His church.
This means that the coronavirus pandemic will end.
Pastor Prince believes that this passage cannot be referring to the Second Coming of Christ
because once the Tribulation begins, you can count 7 years to predict when Jesus will return
again. So this passage is talking about the Rapture.
“But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only. “As
the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days which were
before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that
Noah entered into the ship, and they didn’t know until the flood came, and took them all away, so
will be the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:36-39 WEB)
God has released a new ‘strain’ of anointing and healing for His people.
The devil released the coronavirus as a counterattack—the devil tries to play catch up to what God
does.
As a spirit being, the devil can see what God is doing, but he doesn’t know the future.
Anything that is visible and tangible is temporal. With God, the things that are invisible are eternal.
God’s spiritual blessings produces that which is material and temporal.
Psalms 91:1-2 - The word “dwells” comes from the Hebrew word “yeshav” which means to sit.
You cannot remove yourself from the secret place of the Most High, because the secret place is
being in Christ Jesus.
You are seated with Christ in the heavenly places.
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will
say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”” (Psalms 91:1-2 WEB)
Ephesians 2:4-7 - You have a special interest in Jesus’ resurrection, because what happened to
Him also happened to you.
Your history in Christ begins at the cross. Your “old man” was crucified there with Him.
To your experience, the old man seems to be still here, but to God and faith, it is gone.
We have been raised far above all principalities and powers, including the coronavirus.
Our identity is in Christ Jesus. For God to remove us from Christ is to remove Christ Himself—it’s
impossible that this will happen.
Jesus is our righteousness. He is the measure of our righteousness.
Grace is not just a dispensation. Grace will continue forever.
There is a “show” coming and you’ve never seen any show like it before.
God will present the riches of His grace to us in the ages to come.
God doesn’t want you to just mentally know that you’re seated with Christ.
“Use” the secret place of the Most High by actively resting in Christ and believing that you’re
seated far above all principalities and powers.
How can we be seated with Christ now if we are still here on earth? God is outside of time and
space.
That’s why Jesus could die for the sins of the world throughout time. The cross is outside time.
Your spirit man is now seated outside of time, with Christ in the heavenly places.
We are tripartite beings—spirit, soul and body.
“But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead
through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and
raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in
the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ
Jesus;” (Ephesians 2:4-7 WEB)
When a believer dies, it’s not really death but “falling asleep”.
He steps out of his body immediately, being more alive than before since the encumbrance of his
sinful flesh is gone.
Proverbs 18:14 - A Jewish rabbi, Yonatan Ben Uzziel translated the oral law—the books of the
prophets Malachi, Zechariah and Haggai.
In the first century AD, he translated the word “sickness” in the verse below as “coronei” in
Aramaic which is also corona/crown.
The word sustain in Hebrew is “cul” which means to protect or defend.
A man’s spirit will protect him from “corona”.
This is prophetic of our times. When you rest in Christ, that's faith, and you're protected from the
coronavirus.
Our spirit man is seated with Christ in heavenly places.
God wants us to rise up higher and see from His perspective.
You’re seated with Christ, so Abba God is just on your left hand.
Pray knowing that God is so close to you.
You don’t have to ‘bombard the gates of Heaven’ with your prayers because you’re not outside
Heaven.
“A man’s spirit will sustain him in sickness, but a crushed spirit, who can bear?” (Proverbs 18:14
WEB)
God will give you victory over your enemies—you only need to rest in your position in Christ. Your
spirit man is seated with Him in Heaven, far above all principalities and powers. Don’t be afraid of
lack—just see the supply by faith and walk with the Holy Spirit, one step at a time.
Actively see yourself seated with Christ. When you rest, God works to make your enemies your
footstool.
The responsibilities of Grace are not about becoming what you are not. It’s about becoming what
you already are.
You are already complete in Christ. Now we only need to walk out that completeness by Grace
through faith.
The responsibilities of legalism is about trying to become what you are not. But Grace says, let us
become what we already are in Christ.
Walk out that completeness like the prince that you are.
1 Corinthians 15:25-26 - it may feel like COVID-19 is reigning in the world, but it will be put under
Jesus’ feet.
The only enemy that will remain when Jesus returns, is death.
With each passing year, more enemies are being put under Jesus’ feet.
“For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy that will be
abolished is death.” (1 Corinthians 15:25-26 WEB)
“Yahweh says to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool for your
feet.”” (Psalms 110:1 WEB)
The theme of the year is “the Year of Time and Space”. Who would have thought that time would
seem to move so slowly this year and space would seem to be so constructed this year?
In Jesus’ first two miracles, He compressed time and transcended space.
Spiritually, God is bringing us to a higher space, in a short time.
The side chambers of the temple of Solomon are where the priests lived in back then.
There are three floors in the chamber. Each successive floor gets broader and broader (5 cubits, 6
cubits, then 7 cubits)—ever increasing.
First floor: the storage place of the grain, wine and oil.
The grain and wine form a picture of the Holy Communion.
They are also a picture of the firstborn blessing.
On his deathbed, Isaac blessed Jacob with “plenty of grain and wine”.
It may seem like space is constricted, but online services happening all over the world now have
enabled more people to tune in to God’s preached word than ever before.
1 Kings 6:7-8 - The priests went up to the second floor and third floor by the winding stairs.
On a winding staircase, you gain the maximum height, in the shortest amount of time.
Don’t worry about where the coronavirus came from. Don’t worry about the future of how or when
the pandemic is going to end.
Jesus told us to live one day at a time. God’s Grace is given fresh, day by day.
You can’t see the end of the winding stairs, but you’re going higher and higher as led by the Holy
Spirit, one step at a time.
Before you know it, you’re there at a higher place.
“The house, when it was under construction, was built of stone prepared at the quarry; and no
hammer or ax or any tool of iron was heard in the house while it was under construction. The door
for the middle side rooms was in the right side of the house. They went up by winding stairs into
the middle floor, and out of the middle into the third.” (1 Kings 6:7-8 WEB)
The Talmud has a prophecy that just before the Messiah returns, the first Passover will be
repeated. We saw that happen a few days ago.
Because of the lockdown, teenagers weren’t gathered at cinemas. They were at home during
Passover, probably celebrating the feast at home with their families.
Mark 14:14-15 - You can enjoy rest through the work of another—our Lord Jesus Christ.
Everything you need has been prepared for you. By your eyes of faith, see the supply.
Your God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
We are living in a time whereby we have to trust God to supply us supernaturally.
Before Jesus miraculously multiplied the loaves and fishes, He made the multitudes sit down and
rest first.
We need to actively sit down in the secret place of the Most High—position before provision.
Our Good Shepherd makes us lie down in green pastures.
“and wherever he enters in, tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is the guest
room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’ He will himself show you a large upper
room furnished and ready. Get ready for us there.”” (Mark 14:14-15 WEB)
“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:25 NIV)
The uppermost floor of the side chamber is where the gold, silver and tithes are kept.
There is a truth in Israel whereby things that comes from the north are evil. The north wind brings
blight. The enemies of Israel like Assyria, come from the north. North is picture of adversity.
In the temple of Solomon, the table of showbread faces the north. The table of showbread is also
a picture of the Holy Communion.
When you’re facing adversity, partake of the Holy Communion.
Pastor Prince released words of knowledge about gifts of healing in operation: healing of cancer,
glaucoma, kidney problems, partial or complete blindness of the eyes.
Romans 4:25 - You are declared righteous because Christ was delivered up for our sins at the
cross. If Jesus’ work was not perfect, He would not have been raised from the dead.
Jesus was raised from the dead without our sins, and is now seated far above all principalities and
powers.
Our sins are gone forever.
“who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.” (Romans 4:25
WEB)
Stay tuned for next week’s message whereby Pastor Prince will show how the church will move to
the uppermost floor of the side chamber, where the gold and silver that God has prepared for His
people are stored.
We have passed the Passover. Let us believe that we are going into a world that is different and
better.
