Rubrics for landscaping for a Total points of 100.

Design ( 30 points):
 Creativity and Innovation (15 points): Evaluate the originality and inventiveness of the design
concept.
 Functionality (10 points): Assess how well the design meets the practical needs and
requirements of the space.
 Aesthetics (5 points): Consider the visual appeal of the landscaping design, including color
schemes, plant selection, and overall harmony.

Native Plant Selection (15 points):

 Diversity of plants species chosen (10 points)


 Suitability of selected plants (5 points)

Sustainable Materials (20 points):

 Use of recycled or reclaimed materials for landscaping features (10 points)


 Minimization of non-biodegradable materials such as plastics (10 points)

Energy Efficiency (10 points):

 Utilization of natural shading from trees and shrubs to reduce the need for artificial cooling (10
points)

Educational Signage and Interpretation (20 points):
