INTRODUCTION
Ecotourism, a sustainable method of travel, promotes community involvement and
conservation of the environment. It incorporates the respectful exploration of surroundings
with the goal of reducing adverse effects while promoting education and an appreciation of
biodiversity. Ecotourism promotes ecological integrity and cultural preservation, empowering
local communities and fostering a peaceful balance between adventure, learning, and
environmental responsibility. Odisha's ecotourism destinations, Tikarpada and Daringbadi,
provide fascinating encounters with the outdoors, adventure, and cultural immersion. The
Baisipalli Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Tikarpada along the Mahanadi River's banks.
Visitors can take boat trips, view many bird species, crocodiles, and gharials, and behold
breathtaking vistas. There is a possibility to see tigers and other wildlife at the well-known
Satkosia Gorge Sanctuary .The "Kashmir of Odisha," Daringbadi, charms visitors with its
mild climate, verdant forests, and tribal culture. The region is well-known for its terraced
valleys, waterfalls, and crops of coffee and spices. Odisha's ecotourism destinations, Puri and
Konark, offer a distinctive fusion of historical culture and scenic beauty. In addition to its
iconic Jagannath Temple, Puri is known for beautiful beaches and growing emphasis on
environmentally friendly travel. The area's ecotourism projects benefit from responsible
beach activities, eco-friendly lodging, and attempts to protect marine life. History lovers are
drawn to Konark by its famous Sun Temple and UNESCO World Heritage Site. While
adjacent Konark Wildlife Sanctuary provides a habitat for different species, Chandrabhaga
Beach offers opportunities for leisure and bird viewing. The significance of protecting these
natural treasures is emphasized by eco-sensitive tourist practices. We visited these three
wonderful places and questioned people locals as well as tourists with questions based on our
hypothesis.

EVALUATION
Journeying through three diverse destinations across three consecutive days introduced a
cascade of challenges, notably centered around language barriers and logistical intricacies.
Odisha's linguistic variations from one region to another demanded adept local guidance to
bridge communication gaps effectively. The span of three days allocated for travel between
these distinct locales fragmented our data collection process, necessitating segmented
approaches to gather comprehensive insights.

Navigating through the labyrinth of traffic congestion compounded our expedition's

complexities, elongating our transit times between these captivating sites. The weather, a
capricious ally, turned adversarial with relentless bouts of heavy rainfall, further impeding
our progress and fieldwork.
Amidst our exploration, encounters with less receptive tourists posed additional hurdles.
Some were reticent and declined participation in our documentation efforts, fostering a need
for delicate negotiation between respecting their preferences and our investigative objectives.

These collective challenges underscored the dynamic nature of on-site research, highlighting
the multifaceted hurdles one encounters while delving into cultural and environmental
dimensions. Nevertheless, these obstacles also provided invaluable lessons, enriching our
understanding of the intricacies involved in conducting comprehensive studies in varied
landscapes and sociocultural contexts.
