A main attraction of Al Zorah are the tidal lagoon and inland creek,
with an extensive preserved mangrove forest of biologically and
ecologically rich wetlands. Home to a variety of native and migratory

Avicennia Marina, an endemic species more commonly known as


the gray or the white mangrove, covers large swathes of the Al Zorah
natural reserve. Close to 58 bird species call this ecosystem their
home and are joined by over 150 more during the seasonal migration
between breeding and wintering grounds.
The famed pink flamingoes can be spotted throughout
the year and more so during nesting season.
