Chao from Sonic the Hedgehog

Materials:
 Yarn
o (I used mostly Red Heart Super Saver, anything around worsted
weight should work as long as you end up with a tight enough
gauge to stuff) in blue, yellow, and pink (or whatever colors you’d
like)
 Hook
o (I used size F, but again, whatever works for your gauge)
 Stuffing
o (I get mine from Build-a-Bear)
 Yarn needle
o (for stitching body parts together)
 Felt
o (or whatever you’d like to use for the eyes)
 Optional: something heavy (like dried beans) for the bottom to help him
sit up straight.
Note: Stuff and shape as you make each piece however you’d like. I decided to
create mine in that sort of “huh?” confused look that chaos always give us, but
you could put him in whatever position you want, or change up the eyes for
different facial expressions. I suggest pinning all the pieces together before you
start to stitch them on to make sure everything looks right.

Notes about assembling body parts:

 Make sure he’s positioned in a way that he can balance!

 I sewed the chao ball on like a tassel. To do this, simply take a strand of
yellow yarn and stitch it through the top of the head, through a spot on
the chao ball, and back through to the head, leaving an inch or two of
space between them.
 Remember to shape each piece as you stuff it to get the exact look
you’d like.

Let the spoiling begin!
