PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Mosquito guard repellent is a reliable solution for keeping

mosquitos away. Our formula contains natural ingredients that effectively

repel mosquitos, providing mosquito bite protection. This spray is perfect

for families and people living in mosquito prone areas.

Mosquito guard repellent has a refreshing scent, family-friendly and

environmental-friendly. With its easy-to-use design and fast-acting

formula, you can minimize the risk of dengue-carrying mosquito.

OBJECTIVE:

1. To provide up to six hours repelling scent against mosquitos.

2. To promote safe and environmental-friendly repellent spray against

mosquitos.

3. To become the preferred mosquito repellent spray in the community.

BACKGROUND AND PROBLEM:

Dengue fever has become a big concern in our community. This

type of communicable disease is a constant threat to public health.

The impact of dengue fever on communities cannot be overstated.

The disease has claimed countless lives, left many more suffering, and

imposed a significant burden on the country’s healthcare system. The

economic cost of dengue fever is also substantial, with families and

business alike feeling the pinch of lost productivity and income.

As the number of dengue cases continues to arise, Mosquito Guard

Repellent Spray has become that innovative solutions are needed to

prevent and control the spread of the disease.

THE IDEA:

Our group was inspired to explore the potential of lemongrass and

oregano leaves as natural mosquito repellent after considering the

limitations of conventional mosquito control methods. We realized that

many commercial mosquito repellents contain severe chemicals that can

harm human health and the environment.

Moreover, these chemicals can also contribute to the development

of mosquito resistance, making them less effective over time. Given the

Philippines’ rich biodiversity and traditional use of lemongrass and

oregano leaves for their medicine properties, we wondered if these plants

could provide repelling scent against mosquitos, environmental-friendly

repellent spray, and more sustainable repellent spray for the community.
 BENEFITS:

This mosquito repellent can help provide repel mosquitos at home.

Thus, providing a safe and environmental-friendly environment for

families against mosquitos. This product, Mosquito Guard Repellent Spray

suggests preferred repellent spray in the community due to natural

materials abundant in our community.

EXPLANATION OF THE PRODUCTS:

Our product is a natural mosquito repellent designed for indoor use.

It is made from a blend of lemongrass and oregano essential oils, which

are known for their mosquito-repelling properties. This repellent is easy to

used and can be applied to various surfaces or used in a diffuser to create

a mosquito-free zone.

It is a safer and more environmental-friendly alternative to

chemical-based mosquito repellents, making it perfect for house, offices,

and other indoor spaces.

PROMOTION, PLACEMENT, AND PRICE IN THE MARKET:

Promotion:

 We can promote our product using social media, we can promote it in

some social media platforms like Facebook, messenger.

Placement:

 We can sell it in our barangay’s, selling them to our relatives, families,

and others who may need our product. We can make them available in

some Sari-Sari Stores in our area.

 Affordable Price: The product is affordable for only Php 49.00.

 Offers bundle deals and discounts for bulk purchase.

STRENGTHS:

1. Natural Ingredients: Lemongrass and oregano leaves are natural, non-

toxic, and biodegradable, making the product an attractive alternative to

chemical-based repellents.

2. Cost Effective: Using natural ingredients and a simple spray formulation

can make the product more affordable than commercial repellent spray.

3. Mosquito-Repelling Properties: Lemongrass juice has been shown to

repel mosquitos, while oregano oil has insecticidal properties, making the

combination effective against mosquitos.

WEAKNESSES:
