Introduction:

This report summarizes my 15-day internship experience at DIWAKAR & ASSOCIATES, a


leading Chartered Accountant firm specializing in auditing and financial services. The
primary objective of the internship was to provide me with a comprehensive understanding of
auditing procedures and to give me hands-on experience in the application of theoretical
concepts learned in my academic studies. The internship not only allowed me to observe the
audit process in real time but also gave me the opportunity to actively contribute to various
stages of the audit, from data collection and risk assessment to the preparation of audit
reports.

DIWAKAR AND ASSOCIATES is a reputable Chartered Accountant firm based in Chennai,


Tamil Nadu, India. The firm offers a wide range of services, including auditing and
assurance, taxation, financial planning and advisory, accounting and bookkeeping, consulting,
and company law matters. With a team of experienced Chartered Accountants, the firm

Throughout the internship, I was assigned to work with the audit team, where I assisted in

financial statements, and preparing audit working papers. This experience provided me with a
practical understanding of the challenges auditors face and how they ensure compliance with
financial regulations and reporting standards. It also allowed me to familiarize myself with
the tools and software used in auditing, enhancing my technical skills and improving my
ability to work efficiently in a professional setting.

As a student pursuing a degree in accounting, I had high expectations for this internship. I
hoped to not only gain a deeper understanding of auditing practices but also to develop key
professional skills such as communication, teamwork, and attention to detail. This report
outlines the various tasks I performed during my time at DIWAKAR AND ASSOCIATES,
along with reflections on the lessons I learned and how this experience will shape my future
career aspirations in the field of accounting and auditing.
