In my role as a Federal student worker for the EES (Earth and Environmental Science) department, I've
gained hands-on experience working in a professional setting and using my skills in a new environment.
While working in this field, I made meaningful relationships with my coworkers and gathered experience
helping out clients. Halfway through my career I got promoted to be a teachers aid which tremendously
improved my knowledge on environmental topics, as well as taught me how to effectively give positive,
and constructive, feedback.

Additional Information

During my high-school education, I was a student teacher aid. I was responsible for planning and
conducting various activities, ensuring the children's safety, and providing a fun and enriching
environment. I believe my experience with these young children helped familiarize myself with the
kind of challenges that could also arise in a camp setting and taught me effective strategies to handle
them.
