OBJETIVO

Reconocer y hacer uso de las estructuras de presente simple y el presente continuo.

INDICADOR:

Utiliza en forma escrita las estructuras del presente simpe y el presente continous
haciendo uso de estas en contexto.

PRESENT SIMPLE AND PRESENT CONTINOUS

PRESENT SIMPLE

Verb to be: Este verbo significa ser o estar y en presente adopta la forma AM IS y ARE dependiendo la
persona de la cual se este hablando.

Pronombres personales I ( yo) YOU ( tú-usted) HE (él) SHE (ella) IT (esto-ésta) WE ( notrotros)
YOU (ustedes) THEY (ellos o ellas)

En la siguiente tabla podrá encontrar la forma en la que se conjuga el verbo TO BE dependiendo del
pronombre y la manera como se hacen preguntas o negaciones.
PRESENT CONTINOUS

El presente continuo se forma con el verbo to be (AM, IS, ARE) y con el gerundio. El gerundio es la forma del
verbo con el sufijo -ing. que significa la terminación del verbo (ando o endo) Es decir, si le ponemos ING a
un verbo queda en su forma progresiva. Ejemplo WORK (trabajar) WORKING (trabajando) EAT( comer)
EATING (comiendo).

live – living, sleep – sleeping, study – studying, try – trying, speak – speaking, work – working, watch –
watching, go – going, leave – leaving, make – making, do – doing, arrive – arriving, start – starting, end –
ending, play – playing,
