REQUEST FOR USE OF LABORATORY FACILITY – UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH


PROJECT
The subject matter refers, I am Maimuna Singhateh, a final year student at the University of The
Gambia, majoring in chemistry.

I am involved in an undergraduate research project. My supervisor is Mr. Oladele Oyelakin and the
title of my research project is Semi-Qualitative Assessment of Pesticide in imported and locally
produced Rice in The Gambia. Mr. Lamin Jaiteh of the Food Safety and Quality Authority has also
been involved as a co-supervisor in the project. He has helped edit my research proposal. The
research proposal is attached with this letter.

By this letter, I am requesting permission to use your laboratory facilities to carry out laboratory
analysis of rice samples. The samples will be bought from different markets in the Kombos.
