The Chittagong Port is the main seaport of Bangladesh. Located in Bangladesh's port city of Chittagong and on the banks of the Karnaphuli River, the port handles

- Main Port – Chittagong Port, Chattogram
- Current Container Berthing Allocation – GCB- 5 , CCT- 3, NCT - 4 = Total 12 x container vessels against 19 berthing.
- Yard Capacity – 60,500 inside port TEUS + PCT 1400 TEUs capacity & 19 CFS capacity ( dry port) : 70,000 TEUS
- Current Challenge – Yard capacities and import deliveries slowness sometimes affect vessel turnaround time during festival & peak
- Recent Development – Vessel are sailing within 48 hrs and congestion has reduced.
- Patenga Terminal (PCT) : Red Sea Gateway Terminal International (RSGTI)” has been nominated by the government to operate
the newly built Patenga Container Terminal (PCT) of the Chittagong Port for 22 years. There will be 03 container vessels can take
berth and total CPA berthing capacity will be 15 berths for PCT start functioning.
- Mongla Port draft has improved, and containers vessel operation is functioning in limited scale
- Domestic infrastructure/haulage – New Tunnel in Chittagong & Padma bridge has boost connectivity with Southern & Northern part
 Future Outlook : Bay Terminal : The bay terminal project it will allow ships with a capacity of 6,000 containers with a draft of 10-12
meters to anchor. The bay terminal can accommodate ships 24 hours a day. Three terminals will be constructed in Bay Terminal.
Among them is a 1,225-meter-long container terminal, an 830-meter-long container terminal and a 1,500-meter-long multipurpose
terminal. The total length of the three terminals is 3.55 km. The Chittagong Port Authority will be responsible for the construction and
operation of the multipurpose terminal. Expected timeline 2026 for partial operation
 Matarbari deep Seaport : The Matarbari deep seaport channel at Maheshkhali in Cox’s Bazar is scheduled to start its operations in
2026. The construction of 460-meter-long container jetty and 300-meter-long multipurpose jetty with an 18.5-meter draft
(underwater part of the ship) and various port facilities, including a container yard.
 Airport Third terminal : Soft opening was taken place 7 October 2023. The new (3rd terminal) expected to increase the passenger
capacity in Dhaka from 8 million to 20 million annually. Under the same project, a new Cargo Village is being constructed for the
management of import-export goods. Then the cargo capacity of the airport will increase from 2 lac tones to 5 lac tones
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel : Greatly improved transport connectivity in the region, Chittagong & Coxs’bazar. It
