Method Statement
(MS)
THIS METHOD STATEMENT COVERS THE APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR
MASTERKURE 106 J, A SOLVENT-FREE, DEGRADABLE, FILM FORMING
CONCRETE CURING MEMBRANE BASED ON WAX EMULSIONS

1. Application should be made by low pressure spray, taking care to cover the
concrete as evenly as possible.

2. Horizontal surfaces shall be treated as soon as the initial surface sheen has left
the concrete.

3. Formed concrete should receive treatment as soon as formwork is removed.

4. Vertical and formed surfaces shall be hosed down with clean water prior to
application to assist film breakdown.

5. The application rate of 5 - 6m²/litre must be strictly adhered to.

6. Subsequent surface treatments shall not be made until breakdown or removal of


the curing membrane is complete.

Concrete curing shall be with MASTERKURE 106 J a water based film forming,
degradable membrane manufactured by MBT or equal conforming to the following
minimum standards:
