Flipped Classroom – Review Material
One of the 21st Century skills that all of us and our children need, is self-directed
learning and becoming learners for life. That is an important part of our Vision
that we strive to achieve, toward which we start preparing the children from
the very beginning. To be role models, we the teachers too continually develop
ourselves professionally and also share our knowledge and experience with the
parent community to build a symbiotic relationship.
The Flipped Classroom is one of the teaching-learning techniques that is used
with students in higher grades. This involves reviewing (reading / viewing /
listening and taking notes) the learning material, coming prepared for the
session, discussing and deepening understanding along with peers. Jigsaw is
another technique in which the content is split into parts – different groups read
and analyze these parts and present to all.
Each one of us are different kinds of learners. Recognizing that, we share with
you varied material – videos / audios / short reads / heavy research articles and
so on. Please go through at least 2 or 3 of the content shared below.
Do not worry! ☺
You will have the support of others in your group and also the support of at
least one teacher. (You will be put into breakout groups.)
We look forward to collaborating with you in facilitating your child’s learning
journey.
