The Clockmaker’s Gift
In a small town nestled between snow-covered mountains, there lived an old clockmaker
named Elias. His shop was filled with ticking clocks, each handcrafted with care and
precision. But Elias was known for more than just his skill—he was believed to create
timepieces that could grant wishes.
One icy morning, a young girl named Lila stepped into the shop. She held a broken pocket
watch that had belonged to her mother.
“Can you fix it?” she asked softly.
Elias examined it and nodded.
“Yes, but it will need a special part… and a bit of your hope.”
For days, Lila visited the shop, watching Elias work and sharing stories of her mother. As the
final piece clicked into place, the watch glowed faintly.
“Make your wish,” Elias said.
Lila closed her eyes and whispered. When she opened them, the air shimmered. She wasn’t
sure what had changed, but in her heart, she felt her mother’s warmth beside her.
Years later, Lila inherited the shop. People still came to fix clocks, but they stayed for the
stories. And every now and then, a clock would glow—just a little.
Time, after all, holds more than minutes. Sometimes, it holds miracles.
