S-AIR General setup guide
for 2008 DAV models
-Basic setup-
(Note) Please be noted this is for general knowledge. Depends on sales situation, some S-AIR model is not available in some area.
How to connect Basically no setup is needed.*
*Simply by matching the ID (A or B or C) of the main unit and the S-AIR sub unit, you can establish sound transmission.
Default ID value is A in Sony home theater related product.

Basic information to connect
Basic information to connect To check the transmission status
You can check the status of sound transmission between the main unit and sub unit (surround amplifier or audio receiver) by checking the POWER / ON LINE indicator on it.

Turns green. Flashes green.
Wireless Surround Amplifier
Sound transmission is established. Sound transmission is not established. Sub unit does not output sound. Sub unit turns off
Turns red. Turns off.
Wireless Audio Receiver
Wireless Audio Receiver has intensity value indicator.
Set up trouble solving
Set up Know-How (A) First check...
Checking the following , you can probably make S-AIR connection without problem. (1)Check the wireless transceiver of the main unit and *S-AIR sub units insert correctly.
*S-AIR sub unit: EZW-RT10/T100, etc
(2)Check the S-AIR ID Using the same ID among the main unit and S-AIR sub units.
(B) Checking the other cable
Please set the other cable such as HDMI cable , speaker cable and power cord from S-AIR transceiver.
Set up Know-How (C) Check the arrangement
Please change the arrangement of main unit and S-AIR sub units about the height, direction.
(D) Check the other wireless products
Set up the S-AIR product in the clean environment wirelessly.
If there are other wireless products, try to -install the S-AIR main unit and S-AIR sub unit away from other wireless products. -stop using other wireless products.
Set up Know-How (E) If sound transmission is unstable (1/3)
After you check the process (A) to (D), if you can not get stable connection, please refer the following. (1)RF CHANGE setting If you use multiple wireless systems which sharing the 2.4 GHz band, such as wireless LAN or Bluetooth, the transmission of S-AIR products or other wireless systems may be unstable. In this case, the transmission may be improved by changing the following RF CHANGE setting to OFF. (2)Select the ID so that sound transmission is most stabilized. how to setup RF CHANGE -> see next page.

Set up Know-How (F) Prohibited activity
Dont insert/remove wireless transceiver while the power is ON. Make sure that the AC power cord is not connected to a wall outlet when you insert/remove it.
