            Generators load mode
Description in line 1 in the generator symbol
The generators operate in one of four modes:
            • Manual: All operations are done by the operator
            • Symmetric: Shares the load equally between the
            generators
            • Asymmetric: Shares the load unequally between the
generators. Main generator takes 80% of its maximum
            load.
            • Fix: Sets the load at the level shown when the
            command is executed

                         Generators control mode
The generators can be in standby or not-
                 standby mode
                 Not-standby generators are excluded from
                 the automatic operation sequence
                 controlled by the SVC
                 Standby generators are ready for
                 activating
All standby generators have a standby
number which determines the order of
                 automatic operation
The generators are started in ascending
order and stopped in descending order

Description in line 3 in the generator symbol
               Start/stop-sequences are shown
             Typical states are CONNECTED, STOPPED,
           REDUCE LOAD and STOPPING
Description in line 4 in the generator symbol
BLOCKED Must be reset to remove the block
INHIBIT Operations are inhibited because values are
           missing or out of range

The SB manages the distribution net and load
                   sharing
One SB can manage up to 4 generators
Several SB’s can be connected with bus tie
                   breakers
Several SB’s connected operate as one unit

                         Load dependent start/stop
              - One or more generators must be in standby mode
              - Load dependent start/stop can be initiated when limits in kW or %
are reached (% in this example)
              - Load dependent start/stop is delayed to prevent start/stop signals
                  on temporary variations
              - Load dependent start can have two limits: one with low level and long
time and one with high value and short time.

           Example:
Each generator max load 2400 kW.
2 generators are running. At what load do one more generator start?
           2 x 2400 kW x 86% = 4128 kW in more than 30 sec or
           2 x 2400 kW x 91% = 4368 kW in more than 10 sec.
What is the load when one of the 3 running generators stop?
           2 x 2400 kW x 70% = 3360 in more than 15 min
