Department Process:

Pre-Shipment Quality dept will check 2% to 5% sample to ensures the part meet quality,
safety, and performance standards through rigorous inspections, testing, and
documentation.
Criteria and Inspection(SOP’s)

 Punch number
 Emboss number
 Casting sample
 Pattern
 Pre machining
 Turning
 Drilling
 Milling
 Outsource sample inspection
Reports:
 FPA(first part approval) of all machining this include casting, pattern, turning,
drilling, milling to check machine setting. If part get approval then further parts
goes to machining process otherwise change machine settings.
 DIR (daily inspection report)
 Casting Inspection
 Pattern Audit report
Assembly:
Where things (inner cap, stud , outer cap, ABS ring) are to be added to the part.
As per customer demand
Observation report:
If qc dept find any fault during inspection(2% to 5%) of all parts. Then create
observation report and mentioned all details related to part issue. Email this
report to concern department
Traceability:
Create traceability report of all parts which have all details about part which
include heat No., year, month, supervisor, machine operator etc
Measuring Guage’s:
There are many gauges which are used to check part.
 Vernier calliper
 Depth Guage
 Groove vernier
 Radius Guage
 Plug Guage
 SR tester (for roughness)
 Ring Guage

Importance of QC department:
 Identify defects
 Maintain standard
 Enhances customer satisfaction
 Reduce costs
 Improve processes
 Enhance company reputation
 Support business growth
