Responsibility

 Sample Coordinator: Manage sample request flow and timeline.


 Pattern Master: Ensure patterns and markers match buyer specs.
 Sample Man: Execute sewing operations per tech pack.
 Sample QA: Check quality and measurements of samples before submission.
 Sample Manager: Supervise overall section performance.

Sample Workflow Process

Sample Request & Tech Pack Review

 Receive sample request and tech pack from merchandising/buyer.


 Review all instructions: measurements, construction details, trims, artwork, and
packaging.
 Clarify missing details with merchandiser before processing.

Pattern Making & Fabric Allocation

 Pattern Master prepares patterns based on tech pack or buyer block.


 Fabric & trims are requisitioned from store or sourcing.
 Cutting is done manually or with semi-automatic cutter.

Sample Sewing

 Allocate sewing tasks to experienced sample operators.


 Follow operation sequence from tech pack.
 Ensure high quality and finish; trial sewing may be done for new styles.

Inline and Final QA Check

 Sample QA checks stitching quality, construction, measurements.


 Measurements are verified against spec sheet using Sample Measurement Report.
 Workmanship must meet buyer standards; if failed, sample is revised.

Submission and Tracking

 Approved samples are packed as per buyer format.


 Submit to merchandising for dispatch to buyer.
 Maintain sample tracker for submission record, approval status, and lead time.

Sample Section Guidelines

 Maintain clean and controlled working area.
 Machine settings must be adjusted for each style.
 Store and organize old samples for reference.
 Record all samples in Sample Log Sheet.
