Accepting CUET Scores
The Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET) introduced by Ministry of Education, is a national-level exam conducted by
the NTA for admissions to undergraduate courses in more than 80 universities. CUET has been introduced to reduce the high
cut-off standards for entering central universities and their respective colleges. These high cut-off standards were unfair for
many aspiring students as the marking system practiced varies significantly from one board to another. CUET UG Exam will
be conducted for admission to various UG programmes offered at 44 central, 44 state, 32 deemed, 134 private and 3 other
universities.

Success Strategies

As you know the CUET exam is conducted in online mode on the computer and the duration of the exam is already fixed.
So, in order to perform well in the exam and improve your score, you need to remember these tips and apply them while taking
the exam & during preparation:

1. Time Management: Time management plays a key role in the exam. While attempting an exam, it is advisable to students
that they should first attempt easy questions that have factual data, have to-the-point answers and are less time-consuming.
After that, they should move to the moderate ones which take some time but can be solved with accuracy and lastly, they
should move to the difficult ones and try to find the answers with full effort if can be solved, otherwise skip. There may
be some questions that seem to be surely solved but are time-consuming, in these types of questions candidate should not
waste their time in trying & solving it rather, should mark these questions for review, which can be solved afterward.

2. Probability: Sometimes there are many questions in which the students get confused while answering, in this case, they
may use the option elimination method. To do so, first, they should eliminate the irrelevant options from the question and
they should focus only on the remaining options and try to find the answer. It is to be noted that there are some questions
in which all the options are ambiguous or they are not aware. It is advisable to skip these kinds of questions.

3. Number of Attempts with Accuracy: As there is very high competition in the selection these days, it is very necessary
to attempt more questions with accuracy. As accuracy plays an important role at the time of normalization (a method used
for marking when exams are conducted in multiple shifts and difficulty levels vary shift-wise) which leads to the higher
cut-off.

4. Exam Analysis: As CUET exam is conducted in multiple shifts, it is suggested to students that they should analyze the
exams of other shifts too that have been conducted. These exams analysis are available on many social platforms like
Youtube, Telegram, etc. It will definitely help them to know the type of questions, topics from which questions are being
asked and their difficulty level.

5. Practice Mock tests before exam: It is advisable to students that once the revision has been done, they should practice
more and more practice sets and after taking practice tests they should analyze too. It will not only help to identify their
weak areas but also to improve their performance and they will get to know where their performance lies and how much
more effort they have to put in.

6. Stay Positive: Maintain a positive attitude and believe in your abilities, throughout your preparation & during the exam.

7. Remain calm during the Exam: On the day of the exam, remain calm and composed. Read the questions carefully,
Maintain confidence and keep your mind calm so that you do not choose the wrong option under pressure.
