Describes a foreign language (other than English) that you would like to learn.
I would like to tell you about the story of learning a third language in my life after
English, which is Korean. Nowadays, people tend to choose English or Chinese which
is the most popular languages in the world. So I think learning Korean will be less
competitive than other popular languages. The reason why I really want to be fluent in
Korean one day is because I am so in love with its adorable sounds. I actually can pick
up some common phrases through a lot of Korean dramas and k-pop songs. First,
while I wholeheartedly believe in the power of self-learning, I’d rather join an
elementary korean course from a well-reputed center to establish a foundation that I
can build off of. This would probably last for about 2 - 3 months, and shall equip me
with basic greetings and conversational sentences. In my opinion, it’s interesting
language with a lot of culture behind it. Another reason should be the fact that
studying korean will help to brighten my career paths. Today, trading ties between
Vietnam and korea have become stronger, so employers in Vietnam tend to prioritize
applicants who have a good command of korean. I doubt it would be really
challenging for me to learn korean because it is not latin language, which is totally
different from my mother tongue. korean uses its own characters in its writing, so i
would have to get familiar with its own alphabetical system. i also get a good text
book that summarizes all essential grammar and vocabulary. I think korean vocabulary
would be much easier for me to acquire than their grammar because I have heard that
learning grammar is extremely frustrating. On top of that, i would be such a great
feeling to be able to watch korean movies without vietnamese subtitles.
India also has a large population. Do you think learning Indian is necessary
     for young generation? -
To be honest, I will not highly recommend for young generation to learn indian. First,
indian use its own character and it is really hard and would be challenging for
learners. Second, india even has a large population but it is a developing country with
uneven development between population groups.
Do you think old people should study a new language?
Absolutely, I think age should not be a barrier to learning . Old people should study a
new language if they’re interesting. It’s a great way to keep the mind sharp, and even
connect with more people
 What languages do you speak?
You know, as a native vietnamese speaker, I am fluent in vietnamese. Beside, I can
speak english at a conversational level and a little bit of korean. When I speak a
language, I feel like I am a part of that culture.
Do you have any useful methods to learn new language?
Absolutely yes, The most important things that every learners must have are patient
and hard work when learning a new language. In addition, I have my own method
which is active recall. I am always recommend for all my friends when they are
struggling learning language like me. Also, using flash cards is one of the best ways to
learn vocabulary.
Do you want to become a foreign language teacher in the future? Why?
Actually, I have considered becoming a foreign language teacher in the future. In
Vietnam, English is highly valued, and there is a great demand for qualified English
teachers. Additionally, teaching a foreign language would allow me to continuously
improve my own language skills, which I find exciting.
Do you think that korean is difficult to learn?
I think that learning any language can be challenging, and korean is no exception.
However, as a person who has learned korean as a third language, I can confidently
say that if you’re dedicated and consistently practice it, it is definitely achievable
Have you ever struggled to communicate in a foreign language?
Yes, I have definitely experienced some challenges when communicating in a foreign
language. For example, when I first started learning english, I struggled
with understanding native speakers because they spoke so quickly and used many
idioms and slang that I was not familiar with. However, with practice and exposure to
the language, I gradually became more confident and was able to communicate more
effectively.
Do you think learning languages is important?
Well, I belive that learning a new language can enrich your life. Not only can it help
you connect with people from different backgrounds, but it can also open up many
opportunities for development give you a competitive edge in a globalized world.
Describe a town or city that is good for people to live in
Different people have different perspectives and select an ideal place to reside based
on a variety of factors including landscape, employment opportunities or cultural
richness and today I would like to talk about Hanoi where i am living and
studying.Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam. In addition, Hanoi is well known for its
magnificent locations, cuisine, and population. This city is center of economy,
politics, culture and society of Vietnam. It attracts visitors with many famous places
like Hoan Kiem Lake, Bat Trang pottery village. Also, the Vietnam Military History
Museum, which opened at the end of 2024, offered free admission to all visitors until
the end of December.. I remembered that the first time i went out with my friends in
Hoan Kiem Lake, I was shocked because there was so many foreign visitors. I heard a
very funny joke that if you want to improve your foreign language skills, you can go
to Hoan Kiem lake. I think Hanoi is the first choice for foreign visitors when they
come to Viet Nam. Also, I love Hanoian, they are always ready to help you anytime
and friendly with everyone. Hanoi girls are considered a symbol of elegance and
gentleness.A highlight that should not be overlooked is Hanoi's cuisine. Tourists can
try a diversity of food, such as bread, beef noodle, but there’s a specialty that I would
highly recommend to all of my foreign friends when they pay a visit to Hanoi: Ca phe
trung (egg coffee). The balance between the creamy taste of egg, milk and the sour,
bitter taste of coffee would definitely amaze not only the visitors but the locals also.
On the other hand, the only thing I don’t like in Hanoi is the traffic-jam. Hanoi opens
up many opportunities for development, so it has attracted a lot of people to live and
work, making the city more crowded. No matter what, i will still choose Hanoi as a
place to live for me and everyone else.
Describe a bad habit that you managed to break
Today, I'd like to talk about my bad habit that it really hard to change on my daily
routine is my sleeping routine. To be honest, when i was a child, i used to go to bed
quite early since my parents made me do so. However, when i was a senior in high
school, I’m truly a night owl. My schedule toke away a considerable amount of my
sleeping time and i was forced to stay up late to finish my homework and prepared
new lesson for the next day. I can concentrate my attention on working at night more
than in the morning. Night is good time for me to study because of the atmosphere. It
is so quiet that I study hard without being annoyed surround noise. On the other hand,
it threw off my biological clock and still affects me until now. I have been staying up
very late on a daily basis to surf the internet or to stream trendy series on Netflix,
which really takes away too much of my sleeping time. As a consequence,I'm always
sleep-deprived every morning. Plus, long-term sleep deprivation virtually pushed my
mental well-being to the verge of collapse. Sleep deprivation can cause a range of
mental and physical problems, including impairing your ability to think clearly and
control emotions. We usually use a smartphone before going to sleep, and we think
that will help us easily to fall asleep. In fact, blue light from electronic devices is the
cause of sleep disorder and associated with eye diseases. I have tried many ways to
remove this bad habit and sleep early. However, all my efforts were not quite
successful but recently, I consulted a friend and she suggested that i should create a
cozy space and drink a glass of warm water before going to bed. To be honest, I am
doing this in order to enhance my health since I acknowledge various adverse effects
that lack of sleep has on my well-being.
Young generation is quite lazy to do exercise? What do you think about
                    this comment?
To be honest, it is partly true. Many young people are following a sedentary lifestyle. For
university students, they are quite busy for study and the graduates often have full time job
at their work place. So that, they don’t have much time and energy to do exercise and
engage in other physical activities.
Do you think people are more and more dependent on smart phones?
In my opinion, that is a sad fact. Today more and more people dependent on smart phones.
For example, many young people have screen time approximately 7-8 hours and I am no
exception. We use smart phones for number of reason such as entertain, update the lates
news or searching google maps.
Do you have any good habits?
Yes of couse, I tend to build my healthy habits and one of which is drinking enough water
everyday. You know, staying hydrated is really improtant because water keepingour bodies
working propely, so I usually drink about four or six cups of water a day even when I don’t
feel thirsty at all

great invention that has marked the beginning of this era. The internet is the

people from all around the world free and fast, which makes it the most powerful

endless entertainment. There are many sites available on the internet, which contain
different entertainment materials like music, videos, and more. For example, we can
watch millions of videos on a platform like YouTube without paying any costs.
Unquestionably, Google Maps has transformed the simplicity with which older or
younger people can travel – whether by car, boat, airline, rail, motorcycle, or foot.
Since I started studying and living in Hanoi, google maps has been by my side like a
close friend . However, people should regularly update the latest news on the internet.
It's one of the best ways not to fall behind or become outdated.on the other hand, It is
becoming increasingly easy for people to be tricked online, as scammers use more
convincing tactics, and if we're not careful, we could easily fall for them.
Recently, AI has become one of the most crucial topic in daily life. Do you
think AI is a wonderful invention?

easier thanks to them. I can surf the internet with my phone, entertain with endless
shows on tv, study and work with my laptop

I would say a lot, for better and for worse. With my phone, I can contact with my
parents and my friend. Moreover, it can help me reduce amount of stress with a lot of
entertainment like games, tiktok, social media. However, since I had my phone, it’s
difficult to stay focused, especially on a conversation without checking my phone.
What household appliances make us lazy?
To be honest, technological is supposed to make our life easier, so obviously,
household appliances can make us lazy. However, there’re some activities that robot
can not do like cooking, making bed, …
Do you think Al will replace human teachers? Why?
In fact, ai has been experimented to teach at school to replace human. However, I am
strongly belive that ai will never replace human at school for number of reasons. First,
human teachers are better at communicating and interacting with students more than
Ai. Second, being a good teachers does not only require teaching skills but also the
ability to lend an empathetic ear towad students.
Describe a time when someone gave you good advice.
In our life, we often give advice to others in times when we feel that’s necessary.
This is basic human nature to give advice and share thoughts with others. A time when
someone gave me good advice was when my older female cousin noticed I was
struggling during my final year of school. I was overwhelmed with exams,
assignments, and university applications, and It seemed that I couldn't manage
everything at once. This period was extremely stressful and my cousin who had a lot of
experience, noticed my stress and took me some advices that is really helpful for me.
she has always been my role model and supporter in my difficult times. She is an
outstanding student at a reputable university and my parents want me to follow her
footsteps. She has always been open to me and has treated me as a best friend where it
becomes easier for me to approach her whenever I am in trouble. she’s always there to
support me and motivate me.She suggested that i need create a daily schedule, plan a
list of prioritize tasks, focus on one thing at a time. She also reminded me to take short
breaks to avoid burnout. She told me to set short-term goals instead of long-term
goals. Following her advice, I started listing tasks in order of importance and working
through them systematically. This approach not only helped me manage my workload
but also reduced my stress levels significantly. Her perspective taught me the
importance of managing time wisely and maintaining balance. In the end, I performed
well in my exams and completed my tasks on time. That advice taught me the value of
organization and time management skills that I continue to use in many areas of my
life.
Are you willing to share any advices for other people?
Absolutely! I always give good advice to my friends when they are struggling with work or
feeling down. Since there's no cost to offering advice, why not do it if it can help a friend
overcome their challenges?
If you receive advices from your friends but they were not useful, will you
continue asking advice from your friends in the future?
Is it good to ask advice from strangers online?
I belive it does more harm than good. their advice might be completely irrelevant, even with
genuine intention. They might not have any credibility or willingness to help.
Being anonymous, they can type just about everything, no matter
how disturbing or problematic it is.
What are the problems if you ask too many people for advice?
To be honest, asking to many people for advice can backfire. Clearly, advice seekers
will overwhelmed with options. They might not know who to follow and what is
actually good for them.
Do you think parents should give their children advice?
Absolutely, parents should totally give their kids advice. Giving advice is a big part of
being a parent. It’s how they help their little ones learn and make those smart choices
as they grow up. Moreover, giving some advices help parents understand their children
better and strengthens family bonds
How do people give young people and old people advice?
People have their own styles when it comes to giving advice. For young people, it’s
usually a friendly chat. They share their stories, toss in some tips, and just talk things
out. With older people, it might be a bit more formal sometimes, like a sit-down
conversation. They've got a ton of life wisdom to share, and they wanna make sure you
really get it. But honestly, it varies from person to person and situation to situation.
Describe a phobia that you used to have
I used to have a significant fear of heights, also known as acrophobia. Acrophobia is
a mental health condition in which the individual experiences an intense fear of
heights. It’s a type of anxiety disorder. I remember one particular incident during a
vacation in Lai Chau province with my family. My father suggested visiting the Rong
May Glass Bridge. It was a haunting experience for me. My palms were sweating, and
my heart started racing the moment I stepped onto the bridge. I had to close my eyes
and cling to my mother the entire way. Acrophobia causes people to feel extremely
fearful and anxious about situations that involve being far off the ground. Such
situations include climbing a ladder or going to the top of a tall building. Because of
the intensity of this fear, i avoid any situation that involves heights such as standing on
a balcony, climbing tall towers, crossing high bridges,... I realized that my fear was
limiting my ability to participate in fun and memorable activities. Eventually, I
decided to confront my fear by gradually exposing myself to heights. I read many
blogs to find a solution to overcome my fear of heights. I started with small steps, like
climbing ladders, climbing stairs and thinking that I'm safe. To be honest, it’s work for
me. I realized that facing my fear instead of avoiding it helped me build confidence.
Today, while I may still feel uneasy at extreme heights, I no longer let it control me.
