as tints, tones, and shades
Complementary colors

Split Complementary colors
Split complementary colors are a color scheme that uses a base color and the two colors
on either side of its complementary color on the color wheel
Analogous colors
Analogous colors are colors that are next to each other on the color wheel
How to blend the Colours?
Color wheel theory
PRIMARY COLOURS:
Colors that cannot be mixed from any other colors. A group of colors from which all other colors can be obtained by mixing
Red, Blue and Yellow.

SECONDARY COLOURS:
A color resulting from the mixing of two primary colors
Orange, Green and Violet.

TERTIARY OR INTERMEDIATE COLOURS :

A color resulting from the mixing of one primary and one secondary color.

COMPLIMENTARY COLOUR :
Any two colors that are directly opposite of each other on the color wheel
eg Blue and Orange

When the complimentary colors are placed next to each other, they enhance each other eg copper/orangish eyeshadow enhances blue eyes. When one
complimentary is placed on top of another, it neutralizes the other. Eg dark circles(bluish)are neutralized/corrected by orange.

COOL COLORS vs WARM COLORS

COOL COLORS: suggest coolness and contain a blue base. They are dominated by blues, violets and blue reds.
WARM COLORS: suggest warmth and contain a yellow base. Warm colors range from yellow, gold, orange and orange reds. Many colors can have a cool and a
warm side. If they contain more blue-they're cool, if more yellow then they're warm.

NEUTRAL COLORS: Black, White & Grey
