INTRODUCTION
1. Ex GORORA INGINGO is a Physical Readiness Test (PRT), designed to assess physical
readiness of JCSC17 students in order to enhance combat readiness in Rwanda Defence Force
(RDF). All students will be tested on a 2 Mile run (3.218 Km) meaning 4 rounds of RDFCSC
running yard, Sit- ups and Push-ups based on RDF physical fitness standards.
2. PRT standards are adjusted for age and physiological differences between males and females.
Performance will be assessed based on each step of the exercise. Thus, students are advised to
participate in all steps in order to score the required marks.
AIM
3. The aim of these instructions is to highlight to students of JCSC17 the requirements for the
preparations and conduct of the Ex GORORA INGINGO.

4. These instructions will cover the following:
a. Ex objectives.
b. Conduct.
c. Assessment.
d. Ex participants.
e. Administration.

OBJECTIVES
5. Students should demonstrate:
a. Ability to run 2-miles (3.218 km) in the scheduled time.
b. Ability to meet the set standards of push-ups and sit-ups in prescribed time.
CONDUCT
6. Ex GORORA INGINGO is an individual PRT and it will be conducted in 2hrs and 15 Mins.
The ex is designed to take place on Wed, 29 Sep 21 within RDFCSC running yard and play ground
from 1300hrs to 1530hrs. Students are to use their own time for medical check-up.
7. Participants will start the ex by running approximately 2 miles (3.218 km), followed by
Push–ups and Sit-ups which will last 2 minutes each.
ASSESSMENT
8. Assessment will be done in accordance with international standards. The pass- mark score is
60% points in each event and an overall score of 180 points. The maximum score the participants
can attain on the PRT is 300 points. Physical Fitness Test International Score Chart is at Annex C.
EXERCISE PARTICIPANTS
9. Participants taking part in this PRT include:
a. All DS of JCSC17.
b. RDFCSC Supporting Staff and Military Police.
c. All students of JCSC17.
d. College Medical Staff.

ADMINISTRATION
10. Administration is arranged as follows:
a. Dress. During the test, all participants are to wear RDF Combat Uniform (BDU).
b. Feeding. As usual.
c. Medical. College Medical Officer (CMO) will be on standby with medical facilities
to deal with any emergency. In order to avoid any health inconvenience, CMO is to conduct
medical check-up for students before starting ex.
CONCLUSION
11. These instructions are guidelines; details may not be inclusive as much as possible. All
participants are expected to apply good initiative in order to achieve ex objectives. All participants
are required to cooperate and prepare accordingly.
