Q1: Letter About a Family Vacation
23 Park Avenue
Karachi
15 May 2025
Dear Hassan,
How have you been? I hope you're enjoying your new school and making
lots of new friends. I’ve missed you so much lately—and I just had the
most unforgettable family vacation that I absolutely had to tell you about!
We went to the breathtaking Hunza Valley up north, and it was like
stepping into a postcard. Snow-capped mountains surrounded us, and the
cool, fresh air made everything feel peaceful. We explored the ancient
Baltit and Altit Forts, where I imagined what life must have been like for
the people who lived there. We even hiked up to Attabad Lake—it was
turquoise blue and shimmered under the sunlight like glass.
One magical evening, it started snowing gently, and just as it stopped, a
rainbow appeared over the valley. It felt like a scene from a fairytale! The
food was also amazing—warm chapli kebabs, apricot juice, and walnut
cake that I still can’t stop thinking about.
The best part was having real family time. No screens, just stories,
games, and a lot of laughter. It reminded me how nice it is to just enjoy
the moment.
I really missed you during the trip and kept thinking how much fun we’d
have had together. Maybe we can convince our parents to plan a trip
together next summer?
Write back soon and tell me everything about your new school and city—I
can't wait to hear from you.
Lots of love,
Ali
Q2: Letter to a Friend Who Moved Away
12 Jasmine Lane
Lahore
15 May 2025
Dear Omar,
Hey buddy! How’s life treating you in Islamabad? It feels like ages since
you moved, and honestly, school just doesn’t feel the same without you.
Remember Mr. Ali, our science teacher? He still tells those silly jokes that
only you used to laugh at! We had our annual football match last week,
and guess what? Our team actually won 3–1! Everyone kept saying how
much we missed our star goalkeeper—you!
Zayan finally got braces, and now he talks with a slight lisp—it’s hilarious
but he’s getting used to it. And Huda’s art has seriously improved; she
painted this sunset that looks like it belongs in a gallery! As for me, I
joined the chess club (yes, finally!), and I even came second in our last
tournament. You would’ve been so proud.
How’s your new school? Made any new friends yet? I bet you’re already
impressing your teachers with your history knowledge. Don't forget to
send me some pictures of your new place too—I’d love to see your room
and school.
Hope we can meet up during the holidays. Until then, write back soon and
keep in touch. We all miss you here!
Your friend,
Hamza
