Hoodie consumption, meaning the amount of
fabric needed to produce a hoodie, is important
because it directly impacts production costs
and profitability. Accurate fabric consumption
calculation helps garment manufacturers
minimize waste, reduce expenses, and
ultimately increase profits. It also plays a
crucial role in order management and
preventing fabric shortages.

Consumption= (L*W*2*12*GSM/10000000) +wastage

L= Body Length +Sleeve Length + Allowance
W= Width + Allowance
GSM= Gram Per Square Meter of Fabric
12= Dozen Units Factor

Body Length = 65cm+4cm Allowance=69cm
Sleeve Length = 57cm+4cm Allowance=61cm
Width= 62cm+4cm Allowance=66cm

Wastage = 8%
Total Consumption = (L*W*2*12*GSM/10000000) +Wastage
= (130*66*2*12*260/10000000) +8%
= 5.35 +8%
