E. PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED DURING IMMERSION

During our immersion, we faced many problems that made it hard for us to complete our
campaign successfully. One of the first problems we encountered was that we had not made an
attendance sheet for the students of Labangan Elementary School. Another problem was that we had
to print the flyers for our campaign on the same day, because one of our classmate forgot to print it
before the day of our immersion. We managed to print them, but it caused a big delay. Instead of
arriving at the school at exactly eight thirty in the morning as planned, we arrived at around nine
thirty. Because of this late arrival, we rushed everything and felt stressed before the activities even
started.

When we got there, another problem happened. No one from our section knew how to set up
the projector that we needed for our presentation. We brought the projector with us, but no one had
practiced using it before the event. We tried to figure it out together, pressing buttons and checking
wires, but none of us could make it work. We even asked for help, but there was no one around who
could assist us at that time. Because of that, we could not set up the projector, we were not able to
show the PowerPoint presentation that we had prepared.

Our presentation was very important because it was about our campaign against bullying,
especially cyberbullying. We had worked hard making the slides, choosing the right pictures, and
writing clear messages that the students could understand. Without the PowerPoint, we lost the main
tool we were going to use to explain our topic. We tried to speak to the students about cyberbullying
without the slides, but it was very difficult because we had planned to rely on the visuals to make the
talk more interesting and easier to understand. Some students looked confused, and we felt bad
because we knew that the presentation would have helped a lot. Aside from the issues with the
attendance sheet, flyer, and the projector, we also faced small problems like not being sure where to
position ourselves during the immersion and not having a backup plan in case something went
wrong. It made the activity less organized and less smooth than we wanted it to be.

The whole morning was filled with stress, confusion, and a little bit of frustration. We had so
many plans in our minds, but because of these problems, most of them did not happen the way we
expected. We were disappointed because we had prepared for days, but in the end, things still went
wrong.

F. IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE NEXT ACTIVITY OR FOR PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

For the next activity, there are many things we need to improve to make sure everything goes
more smoothly and successfully. One of the first things we need to focus on is preparation. For
example, we should make sure all our materials, like the flyers and attendance sheets, are ready well
before the event. Printing the flyers a day ahead will prevent delays, and preparing the attendance
sheet early will help us start on time. Being organized with these tasks will allow us to arrive at the
school on schedule and reduce the stress caused by last-minute problems. We also need to check if
everything is working properly before the event. This includes testing the projector and any other
equipment to make sure there will be no technical issues during the presentation.

Another important improvement is assigning specific roles and responsibilities to each group
member. During this event, we were unsure of who should do what, which caused confusion and
delays. Next time, we should decide in advance who will handle certain tasks like setting up the
projector, keeping track of attendance, and making sure the materials are ready to distribute. Having
clear roles will make the process much more organized and efficient. It will also help each of us
focus on a specific task, so no one feels overwhelmed or unsure about what to do.

One of the biggest challenges during this activity was our lack of experience with using the
projector. None of us knew how to set it up, and this led to the failure of our PowerPoint
presentation. For future activities, it’s important that we practice using all the equipment beforehand.
This way, we can avoid wasting time figuring it out during the event and ensure that everything
works smoothly when we need it. Additionally, it would be helpful to have someone who is
responsible for the technical side of the presentation, someone who can be counted on to manage the
projector and make sure it’s set up correctly.

In addition to improving our planning and organization, we also need to be ready for
unexpected problems. During this activity, we did not have a backup plan in case something went
wrong, and this caused unnecessary stress. For future events, we should always have a backup plan
for every important aspect of the activity, whether it’s equipment failure, a delay, or any other
unexpected situation. Knowing that we have a backup plan will help us stay calm and focused, even
if something goes wrong.
