Mensuration Questions (Easy to Hard)

1. Find the perimeter of a rectangle with length 12 cm and breadth 8 cm.

2. Calculate the area of a square with side 9 cm.

3. Find the area of a rectangular path of width 3 m around a rectangle of 12 m by 8 m.

4. The base of a parallelogram is 15 cm, and its height is 10 cm. Find its area.

5. Find the area of a right-angled triangle with a base of 5 cm and a height of 12 cm.

6. A rectangular lawn has dimensions 30 m × 20 m. A path of width 2 m runs inside along its border.

Find the area of the path.

7. The area of a parallelogram is 108 cm², and the base is 12 cm. Find the height.

8. The area of a triangle is 120 cm², and its base is 16 cm. Find its height.

9. Find the area of a circle with radius 7 cm. (Use pi = 22/7)

10. A circular field has a diameter of 14 m. Find its circumference and area.

11. A rectangular garden of length 20 m and breadth 15 m has a 2 m wide path outside it. Find the

cost of cementing the path at Rs. 25 per square meter.

12. Find the area of a ring (annular region) formed by two concentric circles with radii 14 cm and 7

cm.

13. The circumference of a circular park is 88 m. Find its radius and area. (Use pi = 22/7)

14. The base and height of a triangle are in the ratio 3:4. If the area is 96 cm², find the base and

height.

15. A cylindrical drum with a diameter of 1 m and a height of 1.5 m is to be painted. Find the cost of

painting it at Rs. 10 per square meter (calculate curved surface area).
