Sources of fish imports and the total cost of imports in billions of dollars during 12 year period is

depicted using pie charts and a table.

Overall, cost of fish imports had gone up over the years. While at the beginning the majority came
form Canada , by the year 2000 fish form other sources dominated. At the same time Chinese imports
soared gradually

Importation cost nearly doubled during 12 year period .In 1988 expenditure for fish was 6.57 . This
was gradually increased, after 4 years to 8.52 in 1998 and showed continued rise to became 10.72 in
2000.

Furthermore, between 1998 and 2000 contribution from varies sources changed. In 1998 Canada was
the major contributor amounting to 60% but showed gradual decline over the years to 34% and 28%
respective in years 1992 and 2000. While the Chinese imports soared from 13% to 20 % that of others
showed fluctuation. These increased from 1988 (27%) to 46% in 1998 and again went down in 2000 to
42%.
