CERTIFICATION

NIBCO BlazeMaster®5000 Series CPVC fittings:

• Meet the approval and listing requirements of NFPA 13, 13D, and 13R where
applicable.

• 5000 Series CPVC fittings, including fittings incorporating brass threaded inserts
(Brastic®) are third-party certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 - Heath Effects and may be
used in potable water applications.

• Are listed and approved for wet sprinkler fire protection applications by Factory
Mutual (FM) and Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (C-UL-US) for listings in the United States
and Canada.

• CPVC fittings and solid brass inserted CPVC fittings, IPS ¾ to 3 fittings are listed by
the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) for wet sprinkler fire protection system use.

• Are accepted for use by the City of New York Department of Buildings MEA 280-
07-E.

• Meet the combustibility requirements for thermoplastic sprinkler pipe, as described


in NFPA 90A Standard for Installation of Air Conditioning and Ventilating Systems.

• May be installed in the plenum adjacent to, but not over, openings in the ceiling,
such as ventilation grills, and require the use of Schedule 80 fittings in the 1-1/2 inch (40
mm) and larger size, when installed in accordance with the FM, C-UL-US, & LPCB listings.

This is to further certify that the manufacture of these products do not contain any process
where Mercury is used, nor do the finished materials contain mercury, PCB’s or asbestos.
