Hyderabad Python User Group (HydPy) is thrilled to announce HydPyHack, a 12-hr hackathon
focused on crafting innovative solutions using Generative AI, where creativity meets
cutting-edge technology.
This is an opportunity to shape the future, connect with top talent, and ignite a vibrant culture
of AI innovation within Hyderabad's thriving Python community.

FAQs
1. Do attendees need to pay to participate in this event?
No. This is a free event.
2. Is registration sufficient to participate?
We will follow-up with participants after reviewing their submission. Selected teams will be
notified on the next steps.
3. When will winners be announced?
Winners will be invited for the award ceremony to the PyConf Hyderabad 2025 Conference
day, 22 Feb at T-Hub.
4. How many winners will be selected?
The number of winners will be decided based on the quality of submissions.
5. How does this help attendees?
This is a good avenue to get in direct contact with organizations.
6. Can AI be used?
We would love teams leveraging AI to get the most done.
7. Can teams work on other problems at the Hackathon?
We will have mentors from respective organizations that have curated the use-cases. Teams
can reach out to them with any questions.
That said, you are open to work on other related ideas.
Use-cases
Use-cases are curated from real world scenarios in organizations. Complete list of Use-cases
will be released closer to the Hackathon date.
1. Code repository knowledge base with smart Q&A
2. Intelligent voice agent for lead generation
3. Real-time product detail extraction from pharmaceutical products
4. Automated entity extraction from real estate sale deeds
Each use-case will be expanded on the Hackathon day.
Evaluation criteria
Submissions will be evaluated on a combination of criteria.
1. Effectiveness
a. Is the submission effectively solving for the chosen use-case?
2. Relevance
a. Submission needs to be relevant to the chosen use-case.
3. Original work
a. Work related to the submission must be produced during the hackathon event.
Guidelines
1. Selected teams will be invited to Discord.
2. Team size: one team can have up to 3 people.
3. Pick one use-case that your team can focus on and work.
4. Open source the code.
5. Submission deadline is 8 pm, 15 Feb.
6. Submissions will be evaluated after the hackathon.
7. Results will be announced at the PyConf Hyderabad 2025 conference.
8. Conference Code of Conduct is applicable at the Hackathon.
Prizes
Up to three teams will be selected as winners based on the submission quality.
Prize money:
1. Rs. 20,000/- for the winning team.
2. Rs. 15,000/- for runner-up team.
3. Rs. 10,000/- for third place team.
Bonus
Organizations interested in hiring will be listed during the hackathon.
Participants will be contacted only if they explicitly opt for it during registration.
Hackathon submissions may be considered as valid submissions for hiring needs by select
organizations.
