ALAMO:
First Station
MJ&AG:Howdy, folks! Welcome to the Alamo, one of the most iconic historical sites in
Texas. I'm Mae Jane Mabanta and I am Andrea Gwen Pansoy, and we are mighty proud to
be your tourist guide. Get ready to step back in time and experience a piece of American
history specifically In San Antonio Texas The Alamo's Story
MJ: "Now, as you can see here, this isn't just an old building. This was once a Spanish
mission, built in 1718, called Mission San Antonio de Valero. Back then, it was a place of
peace and worship, serving the local Native American folks. But times changed, and the
Alamo became a fort, a symbol of Texan resistance against the Mexican government." The
Battle of the Alamo
AG: "In 1836, the Alamo was the site of a fierce battle, a stand that changed the course of
Texas history. A small group of Texan defenders, outnumbered by the Mexican army, held
out for 13 days, fighting with courage and determination. They knew they were likely to lose,
but they fought for their freedom, for their families, for their dream of an independent Texas.
Their sacrifice, their bravery, inspired others to fight for the cause of Texas independence."
The Alamo Today
AG: "But Today, the Alamo stands as a monument to those brave souls who fought and died
here. It's a place of remembrance, a place where we honor their sacrifice and learn from
their courage. As you walk these grounds, imagine the sounds of battle, the cries of the
defenders, the determination in their eyes. Remember their story, remember their fight,
remember the Alamo!"
MJ: And we are hoping that you enjoy your visit here in The Alamo and hoping this will be
your one of best unforgettable experience here in Texas. " Take Care for your next
