(A) Construction:-
Earthing truck has a provision of connecting the shorting arms at top or at bottom.
When arms are connected at bottom location, it will earth the links connected at
bottom side of panel. It is used for “Line ET” or “Line/Bus-B ET” or “Bus-B ET”
When arms are connected at Top location, it will earth the links connected at top side
of panel. It is used for “Bus-A ET”.
In normal condition, Y phase of earthing truck is slightly longer in length as
compared to the other phases (i.e ‘R’ and ‘B’).

As per the above calculation, the maximum required VA burden for metering core of feeders is 0.049 VA.
So the provided burden for Metering cores, i.e. 10VA is sufficient.
Also as per the above calculation, the maximum required VA burden for protection core of feeder is 0.071 VA.
So the provided burden for Protection core, i.e. 5VA for Outgoing & 10VA for Incomer & buscoupler is Sufficient.

1 Preamble
This document outlines and describes the Heat Dissipation Calculations.
1.1 Assumption/ Criterion
a) Heat dissipation calculation is primarily done for the VCB, Main Bus‐Bar, O/G Links & Miscellaneous.
b) Space Heater will be ON when VCB in OFF condition. Hence space heater watt loss is not considered.
c) Feeder ratings have been considered as per CT ratio.
d) All feeders including Spare O/G feeders are considered for normal operation.
