Activities:
Large Group; During the morning meeting time (circle time) Sit everyone in a circle around you and throw (or roll) a
ball to each child randomly and ask what is this number?. play the numbers song, then, play it again for the kids to
listen and repeat. put several paper circles on the board and counting them slowly, writing a number in each circle before
moving on. Do this once, and then have children count along with you as you do it.
Teacher Led Group: Tell the children to stand in a line. Give each one a number randomly as a name from 1 to 12 and
ask them to stand in the right order. Everyone has to shuffle around until they are standing and holding their numbers in
order 1-12. Now, get the class to shout out their numbers from 1-12, down the line. Make it a game – each round try and do
it faster than the last!
Small Groups;
1st table; Give the students number 11 on white paper and use the play dough to make the number
2nd table; Give the students number 12 flash card and collect blocks form number 12
3rd table: ask the children to place 13 stickers on a piece of paper
