Objective: By the end of the lecture students will be able to:
 Know about describing words and will be able to use them in their
daily lives properly.
Motivation: Teacher will grab the students' attention by asking::
 How is the weather today?
Methodology:
 Teacher will explain the topic by herself.
 Teacher will ask the students to look at the things present in the class like
books, copies, pens, bags, LEDs etc and then she will ask them to give
information about them (thick/thin, new/old, black/or any other colour,
long/short). She will explain that they are describing words.
 Teacher will also show them some pictures of nouns and ask the students
to describe them.
 Teacher will also tell the students about noun phrases and head nouns by
giving examples.
Content to be delivered:
 Describing words are those words which give more
information about naming words. They tell more about
naming words. They are also called Adjectives.
 A noun phrase is a group of words describing the 'head noun'.
It often includes one or two adjectives.
 A head noun is the main noun in a noun phrase, which gives
the phrase its meaning.
 For example, in the phrase "the big black dog” dog is the
head noun because it is the primary subject of the phrase.
Other words in the phrase describe or modify the head
noun.
Examples:
(underlined: noun phrases, bold: head nouns)
The haunted house in the woods.
A young and beautiful lady in the park.
My sister is wearing a long, blue frock.
That is a little, green parrot.

Topic: DIFFERENT FORMS OF DESCRIBING WORDS

Objective: B the end of the lecture students will be able to:

 Know about different forms (comparing and superlative) of


describing words and their usage.
Motivation: The teacher will grab the students' attention by asking
following questions:

 How do you compare a rabbit with a turtle?


 Which is the biggest city of Pakistan?

Methodology: Teacher will explain the topic herself by showing the


students their classroom things and asking the students to compare them
and have a detailed discussion. Teacher will ask everyone student to come
up with an example to clarify the topic more.

Content to be delivered:

Describing words have two different forms:


 Comparative Form: The comparative form is used to show a
comparison between two naming words. We use word THAN before
second naming word.Example: Rabbit runs faster than a tortoise.
 Superlative Form: The superlative form refers to the greatest form of describing
words. We use word THE before using superlative degree. Example: Karachi is the
biggest city of Pakistan.
 Short adjectives are compared by using the suffixes 'er' and 'est'
Example: longer, longest | Faster, fastest
 Long adjectives are compared by using 'more' and 'most'
Example: More beautiful, most beautiful, more interesting, most
interesting

AV Aids:
Objective:
By the end of this lesson students will be able:
 To create a well-structured narrative story using key
elements of plot, character development, and
descriptive language.
Motivation:
The teacher will grab the students’ attention by asking:
 What if you found a magical object in your cupboard?
 What if you get a chance to travel in time? Where will you
go?

Methodology:
 Before you start teaching, make sure you understand the
basics of storytelling, including elements like plot,
characters, setting, conflict, and resolution.
 Begin by introducing the fundamental elements of a story:
 Characters: Who are the main characters in the story?
 Setting: Where and when does the story take place?
 Plot: What happens in the story (beginning, middle, and
end)?
 Conflict: What problems or challenges do the characters
face?
 Resolution: How are the conflicts resolved?
 Encourage students to brainstorm ideas for their own
stories. You can use prompts or ask open-ended questions
to spark their creativity. For example, "What if you found a
magical object in your attic?" or "Imagine you could travel
back in time. Where would you go?"
 Teach students to create a simple outline or story map
before they start writing. This can include the main
characters, setting, and a basic plot outline.
 Break the writing process into stages as under:
 Drafting: Have students written their first draft. Encourage
them not to worry too much about grammar and spelling
at this stage; the focus is on getting their ideas down on
paper.
 Editing: Teach them to revise and edit their work for
clarity, coherence, and grammar. This can be a
collaborative process with teacher’s reviews.
 Final Draft: After revisions, have students written or typed
their final draft. This is when they should pay attention to
neatness and presentation.
 Review: Encourage students to review each other's work.
Provide guidelines for constructive feedback. This can help
improve their writing and encourage collaboration.
 Give students the opportunity to share their stories. This
could be through reading aloud to the class.
 Remember to adapt this methodology based on your
students' needs and abilities. Every child is unique, so be
flexible and provide additional support or challenges as
required. The key is to make storytelling an enjoyable and
engaging experience.

Content to be delivered:
Students must know the basic parts of story writing which are
mentioned above in methodology.

All students will draft their own story with a suitable title.

Methodology: Then audio will be played once. The students will solve
book exercise and then teacher will replay to check their answers.

class on the student record sheet and write the remarks also.

Topic: Discovering Different Types of Weather


Av Aids: None
Objective:
 To improve clarity, pronunciation, fluency and coherence in conveying
ideas.
 To develop comfort in public speaking.

Motivation:
Teacher will start the discussion by asking:
 What’s your favorite type of weather, and why?
 What do you like to do in your favorite weather?

Methodology:
 Teacher will ask each student about their favorite weather
 Teacher will divide students into small groups for discussions about their
favorite weather
 Teacher will Introduce weather-related vocabulary words (e.g., sunny, rainy,
snowy, windy, cloudy, stormy, mild, drizzling etc)
 Teacher will write above words on the board for clarification
 Teacher will encourage students to use the new vocabulary they have learned.
 Teacher will discuss the characteristics of each type of weather (e.g., sunny is
when the sun is shining, rainy is when it is wet and raining).
Contents to be delivered:
Weather Vocabulary:
Teach essential weather-related vocabulary words, such as sunny, rainy, snowy,
windy, cloudy, stormy, and so on.
Different Types of Weather Conditions:
 Sunny: When the sun is shining brightly.
 Rainy: When it is wet and raining.
 Snowy: When it is cold and snow is falling.
 Windy: When there is a lot of wind.
 Cloudy: When the sky is covered with clouds.
 Stormy: When there’s thunder, lightning, and heavy rain.
 Foggy: When the air is misty and visibility is low.
 Drizzling: When it is raining very lightly.
 Mild: When the weather is not too hot, too cold, humid nor rainy.
Activity: (Ask the children to look outside and describe the weather using this
vocabulary)
