Installation / Application Manual
Step 1: Prepare the Surface
Make sure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust, debris, and oil.
Step 2: Measure and Cut
Measure the length of butyl tape needed to seal the area and cut
the tape to the desired length with a sharp utility knife or scissors
Step 3: Peel off the backing paper
Carefully peel off the backing paper of the butyl tape to expose
the sticky side.
Step 4: Position and Paste
Position the tape with the sticky side exposed over the desired
area. Press down firmly to ensure proper adhesion.
Step 5: Repeat as needed
Continue applying the butyl tape along the seam, joint or overlap
to be sealed, making sure to overlap the tape sections slightly to
obtain a secure, continuous seal.
