3º ESO BIOLOGY & GEOLOGY
“LITTER… HOW DOES IT MATTER?”
Classroom session: 30 minutes for background introduction on
litter, screen a short film on the impacts of littering and discuss
with the students the problems associated with littering.
Outdoor session: 30 minutes for dividing students into groups of
4-5 members and for picking up litter from the high-school (green
areas, school yard…)
We try to change attitudes and behavior regarding littering
through this activity. It is our belief that if you pick up litter, you
start discovering the impact that even the smallest piece of litter
has.
Resources required:
● a short film on the impact of littering.
● garbage bags and gloves.
Final product:
Photos of the sessions / Presentation of their works
Students will show the photos taken in the outdoor session and /
or their presentation to other classrooms and comment on them
in order to raise awareness about the importance of picking up
rubbish, classify waste and care the environment.

Students must elaborate a digital presentation that explains in a Vocabulary revision using
visual and auditory way the operation and the advantages and
disadvantages of a power plant from the environmental point of crosswords and/or word
view. search related to

Previous vocabulary working, the students will complete
Google form questionnaire individually, then, after sharing Crossword 3
the results, there will be a debate about the means to
promote sustainable development and care for the

● How to summarize important information from visual
sources, interpretation of economic graphics, searching

their daily lives to promote environmental care.
