1. Can you explain your recruitment process for a US IT role?

Answer: I begin by understanding the job requirements. Then, I search for candidates using job portals like
Dice, Monster, and LinkedIn. I screen them based on their skills, communication, and work authorization. After
shortlisting, I discuss salary expectations, schedule interviews, and assist with onboarding if they get selected.

2. How do you differentiate between different US work authorizations?

Answer:

 H1B – Requires employer sponsorship, valid for up to 6 years.


 Green Card (GC) – Can work for any employer, no sponsorship needed.
 TN Visa – For Canadian & Mexican professionals, valid for 3 years.
 EADs (OPT/CPT, H4-EAD, L2-EAD) – Work permits for students or spouses.
 US Citizen – No work restrictions, easiest to place.

I always verify a candidate’s work authorization before proceeding.

3. How do you find good candidates for niche IT roles?

Answer: I use job portals like Dice, Monster, and LinkedIn. I also rely on referrals, networking, social media
groups, and my internal database. Additionally, I reach out to passive candidates who are not actively looking
but may be open to new opportunities.

4. What do you do if a candidate backs out after accepting an offer?

Answer: I stay in regular contact with candidates to reduce the chances of them backing out. If they still
withdraw, I try to understand the reason and negotiate if possible. I always keep backup candidates ready and
maintain good relationships with all candidates for future roles.

5. How do you negotiate salaries with candidates and clients?

Answer: I check the market rates, understand the client’s budget, and discuss the candidate’s expectations. I
focus on building trust and use data to find a fair salary that works for both the client and the candidate.
