PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

1. The candidate must take print-out of this e-Admit Card in A4 size paper with a laser printer and bring at the Test Centre along
with original ID Proof. No admit card shall be sent through post. Candidate will not be allowed to enter without this e-Admit Card
and at least one original ID proof (not photocopy or scanned copy) i.e. Voter Identity Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport or
Aadhar Card. The identity of the candidate will be matched with the ID proof. In addition, the candidate should bring Ball Point Pen
(Blue/Black) for filling required particulars in the Test. You will be provided with paper for rough work. On completion of the Test,
candidates will have to return back all the papers to the Invigilator(s). As notified in the advertisement, a candidate shall be allowed to
appear in exam for one post only.

2. The Computer Based Online Test for all the posts shall be held on same day in a single shift. The test shall consist of 2 sections
and total duration shall be 2 hours (120 Minutes). 1st section shall be comprising of 50 questions related to Subject
Knowledge/Technical and 2nd section shall be comprising of 50 questions on aptitude test (Quantitative Aptitude & Logical
Reasoning, Verbal ability and General Knowledge). Each question will carry 1 mark and there is NO PENALTY for wrong answer. No
marks will be awarded for un-attempted questions. The question paper will be bilingual i.e. English and Hindi only. However, in case
of any typographical error in Hindi, the English version of the question shall be valid. The syllabus for CBT test may be referred which
is already available on NGEL’s Website.

3. Candidates belonging to the PwD Category will be given extra/compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour i.e. additional time of 40
minutes for examination of 2-hour duration. The provisions for PwD candidates for appearing in CBT will be governed as per NGEL’s
recruitment Advertisement No. 01/2025.

4. The candidate is required to reach/report Test Centre one and half hour prior to the test time so that entry formalities i.e. Physical
Frisking, Bio-metric Attendance, Photo-matching with ID Proof etc. can be done smoothly. For Bio-metric attendance of the
candidate, it is advised to keep fingers clean and should not to apply any external materials on their hands like mehendi, ink, oil,
lotion, moisturiser etc. No late coming is allowed under any circumstances and the main gate of Test Centre will be closed before
half an hour from the commencement of the CBT.

5. Frisking will be done at the entry point and during the examination. In the examination, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of:
(i) using unfair means during the examination or (ii) impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or (iii) misbehaving in
the examination hall or (iv) resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with her/his candidature for selection or (v)
obtaining support for her/his candidature by any unfair means, such a candidate may, in addition to rendering herself/himself liable to
criminal prosecution, will also be liable: (a) to be disqualified from the examination for which she/he is a candidate and (b) to be
debarred, either permanently or for a specified period, from any examination or recruitment conducted by NGEL. NGEL reserves the
right to order re-test for any or all the candidates.

6. Candidates are strictly restricted to bring any electronic gadgets such as Cell phone, Bluetooth, Electronic diaries or any other
electronic devices, wrist watches, wrist watch phones, calculators, pen scanners or multimedia devices or any other communication
devices even in switch off mode including jackets, goggles, hand bags, wallets, ornaments and other documents/paper inside the
Test Hall. NGEL will not make any provision to keep them in safe custody and candidates will themselves be responsible for safety of
their belongings and NGEL will not be responsible for its damages or loss, if any. Any candidate who is found with the banned items,
copying, receiving, giving assistance or using any unfair means during the CBT will be disqualified and NGEL will not be responsible
for the cancellation of candidature at any stage of recruitment process.

7. Request for change in Test Centre/date of CBT will not be entertained.

8. Please retain this e-Admit Card for future record and to be produced at time/stage of checking of documents after qualifying in the
Computer Based Test. In case your e-Admit card is without scanned Photo, please bring two passport size photographs at the time of
Test and handover to the Invigilator for further action.

9. The Candidates appearing in the Test should, in their own interest, check their eligibility criteria in all respect so as to avoid
disappointment at any later stage. Your candidature for the online test is "Purely Provisional" which will be subject to detailed
scrutiny of your candidature fulfilling the eligibility conditions as per the advertisement and recruitment rules of NGEL.

10. The details printed on this e-admit card must be checked by the candidate carefully. No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate for
appearing in the Computer Based Online Test.

11. Candidate shall not be allowed to leave the Test Hall before the conclusion of the Test.

12. Candidate will be asked to remove their footwear before entering the Test Hall.

13. Friends and relatives accompanying the candidates will not be allowed inside the Test Centre.

14. Candidates need to make their own travel and stay arrangements for attending the Test.

15. The admit card is provisional subject to the condition that the candidates have fulfilled the eligibility conditions like academic
qualification, category, PwD status etc. as mentioned in his/her application, which is subject to verification in the consecutive stages
of the selection process.

16. Scribe Declaration Certificate has to be submitted by the PwD candidates along-with Scribe identity proof (in original) in case of
availing services of a Scribe. This will be governed by the Scribe Policy as per OM dated 09.09.2020 of Department of Empowerment
of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India.

17. Important: Objection in respect of any question(s) and its answer, if any, is to be submitted only through Online Objection Link at
NGEL website only. The link will start after 1 day of the conduct of CBT and it will be operational for a period of 1 day only.
Objection/complaint related to questions/answer received through any other mode of communication/ channel will not be
entertained under any circumstances. Non-receipt of objections within stipulated period will not have any right for any future legal
claim in any court of law or any forum and for re-evaluation at later stage of selection process

COMPUTER BASED ONLINE TEST INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES

1. Total duration of Test is 120 minutes.


2. In order to familiarize with the Computer Based Online Test, the candidates are advised to go through the mock test link available in
online login portal on NGEL’s Official Website.
3. Before occupying their designated seat in the Test Hall, candidates have to undergo Bio-metric attendance which is
mandatory. Without Bio-metric attendance, the System will not allow to Login for Test. Similarly, while leaving the Test hall after the
completion of Test, the candidates have to undergo bio-metric attendance once again without which their CBT will not be evaluated.
This is mandatory.
4. This is to inform that ID and password for the online Test will be provided to the candidates 10 minutes before commencement of the
Test at their respective seat.
5. The clock will be set at the server. The countdown timer in the top right corner of screen will display the remaining time available to
complete the Test. When the timer reaches zero, the Test will end by itself.
6. The Question Palette displayed on the right side of screen will show the status of each question using one of the following symbols:

The Marked for Review status for a question simply indicates that you would like to look at that question again. If a question is answered
and Marked for Review, your answer for that question will be considered in the evaluation

Navigating to a Question:

1. To answer a question, do the following:

a. Click on the question number in the Question Palette to go to that question directly.
b. Click on Save & Next to save your answer for the current question and then go to the next question.
c. Click on Mark for Review & Next to mark it for review for the current question, and then go to the next question.

Caution: Note that your answer for the current question will not be saved, if you navigate to another question directly (Without
saving the answer) by clicking on its question number.

Answering a Question:

2. Procedure for answering a multiple-choice type question:

a. To select your answer, click on the button of one of the options.

b. To de-select your chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again or click on the Clear Response button.

c. To change your chosen answer, click on the button of another option.

d. To save your answer, you MUST click on the Save & Next button.

e. To mark the question for review, click on the Mark for Review & Next button. If any answer is selected for a question that is
Marked for Review, that answer will be considered in the evaluation.
