MINUTES OF THE ONLINE MEETING HELD ON 10/06/2025

THE MEETING BEGUN AT 9.05 P.M WITH A PRAYER FROM J. NGIGE

MEMBERS PRESENT 26

AGENDA: UPDATES

As we all are sadly aware, we lost our brother and friend John Thoya Maitha. Following the online
interactions, it was agreed that as the OC fraternity we shall come together and bid farewell to our late
brother J. Maitha.

On the meet, the following was brought to light by Luhumyo and Ngige who represented us at the
homestead

That:

1. TUK (where our Late brother worked) had taken up a majority of the items including the coffin
which had been proposed for up-take by the OC family.
2. The family still welcomes our worthy contribution; they did emphasize their monetary
preference for the same, highlighting the young children who had been left behind
3. They also requested a good representation (read numerical presence) on the requiem mass and
burial days of the ceremony.
4. The family appreciated the profound gesture, that after 25 years, we still have a bond so well
knit as to make the visit and extend our condolences as a fraternity.

Consequently the following was agreed

1. Contributions will begin immediately, our able treasurer Ken Opiyo will do us the honour of
collecting the funds and updating on the wall
2. Our Target stands at 200k tops with each one of us reaching out to our friends within and
without to realize the goal
3. The monies will be handed over to the family, specifically the wife. We shall be further guided
on this by our conduits in our subsequent engagements
4. Closer to the dates of the burial, we shall discuss travel and stay arrangements so as to facilitate
the request that was made by the family members. (on our physical presence)

Having fulfilled our agenda for the this particular meeting, we adjourned at 9.32 P.M

Our next meeting was then scheduled for Thursday 12/06/2025 at 9.P.M
