a. Targeted Interventions: Focused on the unique healthcare
needs of identified priority puroks
b. Resource Assessment and Gap Analysis: Comprehensive
assessment, profiling, and mapping of resources
c. Structured Healthcare Services: Provide strategic and
structured healthcare services
d. Patient Registration: First patient encounters and
registration to a primary care provider

B. Health Workforce
a. Mobilization of HCW: Close coordination between
DOH-deployed and LGU-hired HRH. Leverage roles of BHWS,
BNS, VBSI
b. Deployment of Potential HCWs to the puroks: Specific
cadres will depend on the identified needs and strategies to
be implemented
c. Capacity building: Service provision, health promotion,
health education, and other services. Specially for BHWs,
BNS, BSI
d. Collaborative Opportunities: Explore partnerships for
tapping students/professionals for community immersion

C. Health Information System
a. Toolkit Adaptation: Provision and monitoring of direct healthcare
service
b. Capacity Building: Strengthen existing information systems and
enhance data analysis skills at the local level
c. PuroKalusugan Dashboard (PK Dash): Monitor and evaluate the
performance and impact of PuroKalusugan. Allowing access and
input for implementers and visualization of PuroKalusugan’s
contributions to the 8 Priority Health Outcomes.
d. Data Digitalization: For tracking, data collection and analysis
e. Digital Health Integration: Maximize tecnological advancements

D. Availability of, and Access to Essential
Medicines, Commodities, and Equipment
a. Availability of commodities for the services needed in the 8
Priority Health Outcomes
b. Supply Chain Management: Accurate monitoring and efficient
feedback mechanisms
c. No Stock-Out Policy: Ensure continuous provision and
availability of essential medicines, commodities, and
equipment
d. Health promotion: Provide educational materials such as
posters, health teaching aids, and other resources

E. Financing
a. Fund Review Allocation: Review budget allocations, identify
potential areas for reallocation
b. Partnerships and Collaboration: Private sectors, development
partners, and/or civil society organizations
c. Maximize Patient Benefits: e.g. Konsulta packages
d. Cost projection: Close coordination between CHDs and LGUs to
identify financial needs and implementation costs for potential
funding from the LGUs, Central Office and other investments on
health.

F. Leadership and Governance
a. Creation of Purokalusugan Steering Committee and Technical
Secretariat: To provide overall leadership, implementation and policy
direction.
b. Mobilization of PDOHOs and DOH Reps: Supervise implementation
and provide technical assistance and facilitate Health Initiative
Coordination
c. Community Leadership and Engagement: Engaging formal and
informal leaders as Health Champions
d. Local Health Governance: Strengthening existing local governance
and/or providing support for establishment

PuroKalusugan Updates
1. Target: At least 3 barangays per municipality
a. Priority areas: Poor health outcomes, low health service
coverage, high disease burden, higher number of households
2. PuroKalusugan Health Teams (PHT)
a. Permanent members (BHWs, NHWSS HRH, RHU
nurse/midwife)
b. Potential additional members (BNS, VBSI, BHERTS, etc.)
3. PuroKalusugan Activities
a. Purok visit twice (2x) a week
