A1: Today, we embark on a thrilling journey down the rabbit hole that is the world
of law.
A2: Today marks more than just an orientation; it signifies the threshold to a
scholarly journey of exceptional rigour and attainment – one that will shape you
into proficient legal minds of the future.
But before we proceed, let's give grand applause to our esteemed panel of
faculty members who will guide you throughout your college journey
   1. Prof. Queeny Pradhan Dean of the University School of law and legal
      studies and all faculty members of USLLS.

A1: We at USLLS promise to provide you with all the best platforms to outshine
and transform yourself towards a future-oriented world.
Established in 2001 USLLS is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha
University which is accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade. It was the first
University Law School established in the vicinity of the Supreme Court, Delhi
High Court, various subordinate courts, commissions, tribunals and various
monitoring offices of national and international voluntary organizations.
The law school offers a five-year integrated LLB program, as well as a one-year
LLM program. The faculty at USLLS is highly qualified and experienced, and the
school has a state-of-the-art infrastructure.
In addition to its academic programs, USLLS also offers a variety of
extracurricular activities, such as moot courts, debates, and student
organizations. These activities provide students with the opportunity to develop
their legal skills and to network with other law students and professionals.
A2: Beyond the classroom, USLLS boasts a myriad of student organizations and
clubs that cater to diverse interests. From debate societies to legal aid groups,
you're sure to find a place where you belong. And speaking of belonging, our
seniors are excited to show you the ropes and offer guidance. They've been
where you are now, and their insights will prove invaluable on your journey.

       dean of USLLS to enlighten us with her words.
   -   She is a prolific Scholar with above 18 years of academic experience. Her
       Areas of Specialization are Modern Indian History with a focus on the
       British Empire, the History of Regions and Spaces and Environment
       History.

A1: Let's turn the spotlight to some of our alumni, who've traversed these law
school waters. We have invited accomplished alumni of USLLS to share their
experiences and wisdom.
A1: MS. Reeva Gujral Singhal (2007 batch )
   -   She pursued her LLB from this esteemed institution. She is currently regional
       counsel at Reliance Retail Limited, handling e-commerce litigation for all
       Reliance retail brands and formats.
   -   She was also an associate partner at JS law chambers delhi and was also
       appointed as Amicus Curiae by NCDRC.
She is a dynamic, result-oriented professional with 14 plus years of diverse
experience in providing effective solutions to complex and high-stakes legal
issues. Well-versed in drafting court pleadings with a track record of successfully
representing clients before various judicial fora.

As we gather here today for our college orientation, we recognize the importance of
fostering a safe and inclusive environment for everyone to thrive in. The Internal
Complaints Committee stands as a beacon of this commitment, working diligently to
address concerns related to gender discrimination, harassment, and any form of
misconduct within our campus. I would like to call ____________ to elaborate further on
the same.
A2: Now i would like to invite DR. DEEPA KANSRA, alumnus of USLLS from
2007 batch
   -   She is an Assistant Professor, Human Rights Studies Programme at the
       School of International Studies, JNU. She has earned her Doctorate of
       Philosophy in Law from Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia University, her
       Master of Laws from The Indian Law Institute and pursued her B.A. LL.B.
       (Hons.)from USLLS.
   -   She is involved in teaching and guiding research in the areas of
       Methodology and Ethics in Social Science Research, Theory and Practice
       of Human Rights, Disability Human Rights Law and Policy and much more.
   -   She has also been awarded ‘Outstanding Woman Researcher in Law’, at
       the 6th Venus International Women Awards, She has to her credit several
       publications in acclaimed journals, and she has authored the book India
       and the Dynamics of Socialism in the Global Order, edited many others
       and contributed chapters to several.

Legal aid cell
it is my privilege to introduce a cornerstone of our college community – the Legal Aid
Centre ofUSLLS. AS we stand here, we acknowledge the paramount importance of
justice and legal awareness in society. The Legal Aid Centre works tirelessly to bridge
the gap between legal knowledge and those who seek it. Without further ado, I extend a
warm invitation to the members of the Legal Aid Centre to grace the stage and enlighten
us further.

resume our session with a one-on-one interaction with members of the internship
and placement cell.
