The new software results in the following changes:

725 and 740 Articulated Trucks

• The primary governor control has been set to speed control. This is no longer configurable.

• The high exhaust temperature E194 has been enabled. The high exhaust temperature is set to
level 1 while the derate is active.

• The response of the demand fan has been adjusted in order to respond better during extreme
work cycles in higher ambient temperatures.

• The ether strategy has been improved. This helps with cold engine starting at higher altitudes.

• The calibration of the high fan speed has been changed to 1800 rpm during the procedure of
"Fan Calibration" with the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET).

• The tattletale no longer increases during the calibration of the pressure sensor for the air filter
restriction. If the engine is not immediately started the calibration occurs when the key is in the
ON position.

• The problems between the ECM and the demand fan have been corrected.

725 and 730 Articulated Trucks

• The engine speed has been set to low idle for the low fan speed during the procedure of "Fan
Calibration" with the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET).

• The "Fan Calibration" procedure with the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) has changed.
The low current limit for the high fan speed has been decreased to 0.1 amperes. The high
current limit for the low fan speed has been increased to 1.9 amperes.

735 and 740 Articulated Trucks

• The "Fan Calibration" procedure with the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) has changed.
The low current limit for the high fan speed has been decreased to 0.1 amperes.
