-game all about using your wit and imagination instead of using the dice.
-There are no stats to enhance your rolls, you have to think creatively, think about the best ways
to get out of situations
-uiltimately this is a lore building, free actions, exploration RPG with an emphasis on journaling
and discovering the stories behind certain areas.
-this game is built to be played without a dedicated game master but having one is a bonus!
Best practices:
-ask a lot of questions when exploring, fill in the blanks as best as you can with the prompts
given but don’t be afraid to keep asking to get the specifics of where you are, what’s in the
room, or what you are looking at!
-prepare the items in your pack to be used. If you have a ball of spider silk thread, note that it is
on your belt for fast access or that it is looped around your shoulders, so that later during an
encounter it makes sense when you use it to stick to the side of a crow as the crow is taking
flight.
- utilize the items you collect in your pack always, they may save you when faced with obstacles
and enemies, you can use them however you wish as long as it makes sense! Ideally all of your
harvested materials and items have been crafted into mouse sized items beforehand!
-Try to negotiate beforehand even with bosses or enemies, learn about their backstory, their
goals, what else you can do to fulfill their requests… ask them a lot of questions!
Combat:
3D6 of different colors or designs are rolled simultaneously. The first dice is for the result of the
player action, the second is the enemy’s action (please refer to the enemy action table of the
current enemy/enemies in the fight), and the third dice is a bonus effect that triggers on a player
attack roll or an enemy attack roll (please refer to the bonus effects table of the current
enemy/enemies in the fight).
Player actions:
   1. If the player is within melee range of the enemy, the player climbs onto the enemy, if the
player is already on the enemy then they can reposition. If the player is at a range, the
player can reposition anywhere in the room.
   2. Player is unable to fully react in time due to some factor (eg. weapon breaking, light
shining in their eyes, tripping over a rock) and takes a hit
   3. Player trades a blow with the enemy, contact is made, the damage to both parties is light
like a bad scrape on a floor dotted with pebbles.
   4. The player lands a hit hard enough to pierce flesh, the player also has time to say/ask
something short to the enemy as the enemy recovers from the hit (eg. I don’t want to
fight you, Why are you fighting?)
   5. The Player lands a solid blow and learns about an enemy weak point
   6. Player is able to land a critical hit, if this hit happens to be somewhere vital to the enemy
(physically, emotionally, or otherwise), the fight ends and the enemy either dies as
dramatically or mundanely as you wish, or reacts.
Bonus reaction:
   1. The enemy drops something that the Player can use
   2. The environment is affected in a way that is advantageous to the Player
   3. The environment is affected in a way that is disadvantageous to the Player
   4. A weak point of the enemy is revealed/exposed
   5. Enemy is out maneuvered
   6. Enemy is scared
Foraging:
Different herbs require you to place 3 dice in certain formations within a certain time limit in
order to be successfully harvested.
Crafting:
Materials, herbs, crow feathers, anything really that is gathered and delivered from the
dungeons can be used to create little creature sized items.
This game is inspired by Mouseritter and the beauty that is journaling as a form of endless
creative exploration.
King Sharp Beak
Size: 6
Refers to self as: Sharp Beak
Weak points: Damaged right wing, tender left eye, distracted by the shiny mirror when the light
hits it just right.
Enemy actions:
   1. Enemy is distracted by their reflection
   2. Enemy screeches at the top of their lungs and speaks something short.
   3. Enemy attacks swiftly with sharp beak
   4. Enemy flaps wings, generating a strong gust of wind.
   5. Enemy attempts to take flight and flaps violently
   6. Enemy reaches out with a talon, attempting to grab you or scratch you.
Deep in the recesses of an abandoned beehive, swarming with its loyal wasp subjects,
King Sharp Beak sits perched on a makeshift hive of thin, scraggly roots, and dead
decomposing leaves. This oversized crow looks to its right, admiring its reflection in a
broken mirror shard with a sideways cock of its head. The mange in its left eye, tender
and oozing puss. In one swift motion, it snatches a nearby wasp out of the air and
swallows it down its gullet, the sound of which is akin to the slicing of a toothpick blade
through the air, the buzzing of the wasp silenced instantly.
“King Sharp Beak my grace, my liege, your beauty that radiates outwards with no bounds,
please forgive me, you have so much honey and I was so hungry. I am your most loyal subject,
no, your most loyal servant for my whole life. I only wish to see you live, I was in your chambers
massaging honey into your wing just this morning, please d-”
    - Wasp whom referred to self as Lucky
Wasp Grunt
Hitpoints: 50
Size: 4
Weak points: delicate wings, helmets are a bit too big, stingers are heavy impairing sudden
quick movements.
Enemy actions:
   1. Enemy charges towards Player, stinger raised
   2. Helmet slips slightly and impairs vision
   3. Enemy says something short while swinging their weapon
   4. Enemy’s buzzing vibrations shake the walls of the room
   5. Enemy attempts to grapple you with their insect arms.
   6. Enemy backs away from you and attempts to throw its spear
Only the larger spawn are kept, the rest are eaten. A barbed, pearl black stinger the
length of a bark-scrap shield dangles from its bottom. One piercing blow could spell the
end of even the strongest mouse.
“Honey is all I know, to gather is to live, to live is to kill” - Chant heard throughout the abandoned
hive as wasp grunts return with a fresh bounty of honey
