1. Describe the steps you would take to prepare the wall background to receive the
wall finish. (5 Marks)

b. Identify and list FIVE types of wall finishing materials you might consider for
this task, giving a brief reason for each choice based on common client
specifications or building code requirements. (10 Marks)

2. a. Explain the importance of selecting wall finishing materials "as per client
specifications and building code." (5 Marks)
b. Explain FIVE key Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) considerations you
must observe while performing wall plastering and rendering. (10 Marks)

c. Briefly describe the difference between "plastering" and "rendering" as wall


finishes. (4Marks)

3a. Outline the steps involved in preparing the floor background to receive the tile

b. Identify and list three different floor finishing materials (other than tiles) that
could be used, and suggest a suitable application for each. (6 Marks)
