DESCRIPTION

Special machine for the continuous application of paper foils, PVC or similar
materials upon profiles made of wood, chipboard, aluminium, rigid PVC, etc.
using solvent based polyurethane glues.

The machine is equipped with a hot melt head which is applied upon
wooden veneer sheets or paper foil or veneer in spool.

The introduction of the profile into the machine is done by a feeder or


manually upon the conveyor rollers of the machine

The wrapping foil is supplied in spool and has to be placed into the uncoiling
shaft which is equipped with an adjustable brake. In an appropriate
application head the back side of the foil will be impregnated with solvent
based polyurethane glue. Inside a hot air tunnel the glue will be evaporated.
When the foil passes in front of a IR lamp tunnel the glue will be reactivated.

The veneer sheet for the wrapping are stored in a table at the infeed of the
hot melt glue application head and will be introduced manually over the glue
application roller. If paper or veneer are supplied in spool, they will be
assembled into another uncoiling shaft and the beginning of the foil will be
put upon the application roller.

The profile to be wrapped and the wrapping foil coincide in a point under the
first pressure roller. Then the wrapping process will be realised along the
machine through a lamination system using pressure rollers with different
shapes in order to be adapted to the exterior form of the wrapping zone of
the profiles. The adaptation of the wrapping foil to the profile is done
progressively and will be assured keeping the profiles pressed. This
produces a perfect adherence of the foil over the profiles.

NORMAL POSITIONING CONDITIONS

The positioning of this machine must be realised in a closed site. The floor
must be horizontal, flat and non sliding. Good light conditions and an
atmospheric air circulation which guaranties more than 5 air renovations per
hour must be available.

The machine must have enough free space at both sides to make the
access and maintenance more easy. The minimum free space at the control
side must be 2 m and 1 m at the opposite side.
In all this mentioned space it is not permitted to place materials neither
obstacles. At a greater distance can be situated the veneers and the
recipients of the granulated hot melt glue for the consumption of one day.

At the machine' s or profile feeder' s infeed will be placed a container with


the profiles to be wrapped and at the outfeed another one for the wrapped
profiles.

If this wrapping machine is situated behind other machines, conveyors or


feeders it must be guarantied that any stop of this machine will order also
the stop of the precedent machines.
In case that this wrapping machine has other machines or conveyors placed
after it, any stop of this machine has to order also the stop of the machines
behind it.
In case this profile wrapper is a part of an installation, all the machines must
be adjusted at the same speed. Check that the tension and frequency of the
feeding net is according to the electric diagram.

WORKING PLACES

During production, only an operator is enough to control this machine. This


operator will be normally situated at the control side of the machine and will
take care of the profile feeding.

When the production of a profile type is over or when the profiles or veneer
strips are empty, the feeding will be interrupted in order to fit the machine
again to continue the production.

In order to reduce the stopping times, one operator can control the waste of
veneer sheets/ foil and glue and have a new spool and new glue ready to be
replaced in the machine. The supply of new containers with profiles or the
evacuation of the containers with the wrapped profiles can be done by the
same operator or the person encharged with the maintenance of the factory.
When the machine has to be prepared to wrap another different profile type
it is recommendable that two operators situated at both sides of the machine
adjust the pressure rollers at the same time.

When the working process has finished it begins the foil surplus and glue
collection. The cleaning process can be done by just one operator as
described in the correspondent section.

ASSEMBLING

The wrapping machine is composed by a bedframe which supports all the


wrapping components. Some parts can be supplied disassembled in a
wooden box in order to save packing volume.
At the receipt of the machine, please check all parts. In case there are some
damaged parts produced by the transport, please advise the manufacturer
in order to replace these parts and claim to the transport company.
For the machine positioning it is not necessary a special foundation or
placing vibration mufflings.
Situate the machine in its definitive place using appropriate lifting methods.
Level the machine in two horizontal, perpendicular directions using the
levelling screws situated at the machine base. Check if the working height of
this machine is equal to the feeder and the machines situated before or after
it. The reference for this levelling is the mechanised part of the bedframe.
Alienate the wrapping machine with the machines before and after.

Prepare the electric connections up to the electric cabinet of the machine.


Introduce the electric wire (of appropriate section for the installed power)

through the cable guide of the electric box and connect the connections
R S T and neutral. The door of the electric cabinet can only be opened with
the general switch at "0" position.
Check that the tension and frequency of the net coincides with the indicated
in the electric scheme. If not, do not switch on.

If the machine has to be interconnected with other machines before or after,


connect the electric wires to these other machines. In the electric cabinet,
check the regulation of the automatic switches for motors and heating
elements. Adjust them in case it is necessary.
Check the tension flow in to the machine. Activate the main switch and the
button "controls activated". Activate the switch for the transport wheels and
check the turning sense of them. If it is not correct, invert the two phases of
the electric net.
Prepare the compressed air installation to the proximity of the machine.
Between a rigid take of compressed air and the machine, put a flexible
feeding tube of same inner diameter as the exterior diameter of the infeed
take of the air filter. The adjusting pressure of the pressure regulator must
be 5 bars approximately.

DISASSEMBLING

When it is necessary to transfer the machine into another place, please


proceed as follows :

- Clean the machine completely as stated in the corresponding section.

- With the main switch in "0" position open the electric cabinet and after
checking that the tension does not arrive to the connections RST,
disconnect the electric supply cable and take it out of the electric cabinet.
Disconnect the electric cables for the connection of other machines.
Close the electric cabinet.

- Include with the machine the wrapping wheels and other accessories
which belong to this machine and are not fastened to it.

INSTALLATION

Before the commissioning of the machine following operations have to be


done first :

- Remove the anti-oxidising protection and grease all those parts which are
not painted.

- Check the oil level of the speed variators.

- Situate the profile to be wrapped between the infeed guide wheels of the
machine with the main zone to be wrapped at the upper part and
approximately centred with the wheels.

- Open or close conveyor wheels in order that the profile is good supported
by them. At the wrapping zone it must be avoid that the conveyor wheels
disturb the application of the foil over the edges or lower surface of the
profiles. Close some wheels or take them away if necessary.
The adjustment of the guide wheels is done leaving a distance of 1 mm
between wheel and profile.

- Align the profile over the conveyor wheels in the whole run of the
machine until its outfeed. Place the lateral wheels which limit the width of
the profile to be wrapped. Align first the rollers placed at the right hand
side and the rollers placed at the left hand side. Give them a light
pressure over the profile in order that the roller moves themselves
approx. 1 mm.
Once the alignment of the profile is done, the upper wrapping rollers will
be adjusted, taking in account to make pressure over the profile in order
to comprise it approx. 1 mm.

- This adjustment begins putting the horizontal infeed roller to the wrapping
rollers which receives the glued foil or veneer over the top point of the
profile, adjusting then the wrapping rollers from the upper point to the

base progressively in order not to get folds or breakage on the foil and
that it adapts himself perfectly to the shape of the profile.

In order to realise this operation of individual adjustment of the pressure


rollers it is necessary to use the manual buttons of "slow forward" and "
slow backward" of the conveyor.

- When the wrapping must be realised with foil using the polyurethane glue
application head proceed as follows :

- At the uncoiling shaft, unblock the exterior cone and share it from the
shaft. Unblock the inner cone. Introduce in the shaft the spool with the
foil to be used in the wrapping process.

- The decorative surface of the foil must be positioned to the bottom.

- Situate one of the profiles to be wrapped under the uncoiling shaft.


Uncoil some metres of foil and simulate manually the wrapping
process. Adjust laterally the spool position in order that the two
extremes of it coincides with the vertical of the foil edges before
wrapping the edges of the profile. Block the cones and make light
pressure with them in order that the uncoiling shaft turns with the spool.

- The rilled screw situated at the extreme of the uncoiling shaft is used
for the adjustment of the braking moment of the uncoiling shaft. The
more width and thickness of the foil the great braking moment must be
adjusted.

- Pass the foil though the whole run of it, that means, under the cutting
blades (optional), under the glue application head, through the tunnel
inside, upon the centring roller, in front of the IR screen until under the
first pressure roller.
- Adjust laterally the two longitudinal cutting blades in order to situate
them at the exact width of the wrapping. Activate the pneumatic valve
which make them descend (optional).

- In order to facilitate the introduction of the foil through the inside of the
evaporation tunnel, the cover of the tunnel can be opened to the rear
and pass the foil manually or whether with closed tunnel hold the
beginning of the foil with a magnetic piece upon the metallic bar which
moves to the exit turning a handwheel. Once the beginning of the foil is
at tunnel´s exit, free the magnetic piece and pull the foil manually until
after the first pressure roller.

- Situate the foil centring detector in the position which coincides


approximately with the posterior edge of the foil. This position will be
corrected afterwards when the machine is on.

- When the wrapping is done with wooden veneer and hot melt glue please
proceed as follows :

- Place some veneers upon the feeding table. The veneers must be
between 20 and 50 mm longer than the profile and the width some
more than the perimeter to be wrapped.

- Introduce a profile upon the conveyor and forward it until exceeds the
position of the first wrapping roller. Simulate manually the wrapping of
the profile and adjust the position of the guides until it touches the
edges of the simulation veneer.
- Adjust the height of the application head in order that the roller ø 80
mm situated under it makes correct pressure upon the profile.
- For the wrapping of special profiles where the beginning of the
wrapping is not done at the top of it, the first moulding roller must be
lifted up some millimetres upon the profile and situate a first wrapping
roller upon the zone where the profile starts to be wrapped.

- Place the segments of the rollers of the pressure-introduction roller of


veneer sheets in order that they reach a total width 5 mm less than the
width of the veneer to be introduced so it is avoid that the segments
which build the foil pressure roller will be impregnated with glue.

COMMISSIONING OF THE MACHINE WIT PU HEAD

- Check that the emergency stop buttons are unblocked and that the
security stop cable is tensioned.

- Check in the manometer the arrival of compressed air.

- Check that the pressure of the compressed air to the elements which are
to be used is adequate.

- Activate the electric main switch and the button "controls on". Push the
button to run the conveyor and adjust its speed according to the
characteristics of the profile, the wrapping and glue type to be used.

- When the wrapping is done with foil using PU glue, adjust the temperature
regulator of the evaporation tunnel and push the button to put in motion
the ventilators for the air circulation and the heating elements.
Activate the switch for the foil centring roller and verify the oscillation of
the centring roller.
Check the operation of the profile and foil heating screens leaving them
stopped until they are used.

ATTENTION
Do not manipulate the handwheel for speed variation when the conveyor
motor is not working as this would cause damages in the variator.

COMMISSIONING OF THE HOT MELT APPLICATION HEAD

The speed of the application roller must be adjusted to a value a few less
than the conveyor speed (approx. 1m/min slower) in order that the profile
pulls the veneer.

The length of the veneer to be wrapped must be a few greater than the
length of the profile in order to avoid that the pressure rollers becomes dirty.
The adjustment of the veneer infeed respect to the profile is adjusted
through 2 time switches which are incorporated in the control board. The
time switch "veneer run" orders the introduction roller to descend. When the
time is increased the application of the veneer over the profile is delayed.
The descent of the introduction roller is produced only when the limit switch
situated upon the table of the application head is activated.
A second time switch called "veneer stop" orders to lift up the introduction
roller. The programmed time is the one which goes by from the activation of
the limit switch situated at the table of the head and the lifting up of the
introduction roller.
If the introduction roller is spotted with glue, make the glue cold on the roller
surface with compressed air. As soon the glue is cold it can be taken away
very easily.

PERIODICAL MAINTENANCE

For the good working and efficiency of the machine please rely on following
instructions :

- Maximal every week, as complement to the machine cleaning, all the


surfaces which do not have protection paint will be greased as for
example: the column guides or housings, elevation spindles, driving
chains, etc., except the surfaces in contact with the product. Any contact
with any grease has to be avoid rigorously. As lubricant medium normal
oils and grease for machinery will be used.

- All the ball or needle bearings are of permanent greasing. The


endless gears will be cleaned one time per year, lubricating them
with grease until approximately 1/3 of the inside space is full

- The entertainment of the elements which build the variator gearbox group
is according to the instructions given through the manufacturer, which are
supplied attached.

- The quality of the used rubber for the conveyor rollers and pressure
rollers correspond to the characteristics of the material to be applied in
normal conditions.

- Take care specially of the application roller bearings. They must be


greased with a few quantity of special high temperature grease (200°C)
every week.
- In case of difficulties in the glue outflow at the application head, this could
be caused because inside the glue conducts of the head could be
encrusted some carbonised glue. In this case please clean the inside of
the head as follows :
The axle holder housings have to be disassembled together with the
application roller and the glue recirculation spindle. The disassembling of
the parts has to be done with the head heated at approx. 100°C with his
own heating elements.

SECURITY SYSTEMS

ELECTRIC CABINET

To open the electric cabinet it is necessary that the main switch is in "off"
position.
In the "on" position the door of the electric cabinet remains closed. This do
not allow to manipulate inside the cabinet when the tension is connected.
EMERGENCY BUTTONS
There are emergency buttons to order the full stop of the mechanisms in
operation.
You cannot set up the machine again unless the emergency buttons are
unblocked.
EMERGENCY CABLE
Along the wrapping zone is situated a cable which activates a stop switch.
The operation is similar as the emergency buttons and has to be also
unblocked after using it.

The emergency systems installed in the machine do not have to be


manipulated. Any modification or annulment of them involves the cease of
the security guaranties.

LAMINATION ROLLERS AND WHEELS

The positioning of the rollers must be done stopping first the conveyor
wheels. Introduce the profile on the conveyor wheels and, once the stop is
assured through switching off the main switch, begin the positioning of the
lamination rollers and wheels. If possible, adjust the lamination rollers
always when the conveyor has been stopped.
Only when a good wrapping is reached proceed to adjust the wrapping
rollers while the conveyor wheels are in motion. The adjustment is done
blocking and unblocking the union pieces placed at the extreme most far
away from the arms respect the lamination wheel.
This adjustment can be only performed by a person which has been
instructed in this speciality.
At the machine zones near to the lamination wheels, you can find placards
advising that the hands could be pressed between the lamination or
conveyor wheels. So every manipulation near to the molding rollers must be
done with stopped conveyor.
In case you have to introduce or go with the foil or veneer between the
lamination wheels while the conveyor is running, please use the wooden
tools. Do not use your hands, as it is very dangerous.

ZONES OF HIGH TEMPERATURE

For the manufacturing process it is required the glue fusion head and
several accessories for the heating of profiles or wrapping material where
some high temperature zones. They are located at :
a) Hot melt fusion tank
It is wrapped with an isolating protection. Do not look inside the tank
immediately after opening the cover.
b) Glue application head
The application roller and the items closed to it, can be considered high
temperature zones. Do not touch these parts although if there is a
protection, because even the protection could be hot enough to cause
burns on the skin. The cleaning of the glue application head will be done
while the machine is stopped, be carefully because of the high
temperature.
c) Screens with IR lamps
Can be placed for heating the profiles or the wrapping material. They are
guided to the profiles in opposite direction of the operator. Do not put the
hand under the screen when when the lamps are burning.
d) Hot air blowers
They are used to reactivate the hot melt glue and to increase the
temperature of the profiles or of the wrapping material.
When the blowers are on, the air outlet nozzle reaches a considerable
temperature, so the brand risk on hands or other unprotected parts is
very high.

The operator must have the necessary information and practical training
hours to use the machine without supervision.

Examine carefully the working zones which could be dangerous in order to


detect them rapidly.

Periodically check the parts which waste after a time period, like i.e.
bearings, gears, valves, etc.

Do not permit that non authorised persons make a reparation or


maintenance tasks.

Before putting the machine in motion, be sure that no operator is working,


cleaning, adjusting or making maintenance tasks on the machine.

Be sure
- that the electric parts are in good conditions and correctly protected.
- that the connections are clamped well
- that the external electric connections are in perfect conditions.

ATTENTION!
- Do not use rings, watches, jewels or wide clothes.
- Do not approach the hair to movement zones like rollers, gears,
conveyor wheels, etc. it could be very dangerous.
- It is recommendable to wear appropriate clothes, shoes with a non
sliding base, protection glasses, hand protections, etc.

Mark the machine and the working zones. Take away obstacles that could
be dangerous.

ATTENTION!
Do not open any protection or doors of the electric system until you are sure
that the power of machine is off.

Do not repair the machines while the motors are on, in order to avoid that
the moving parts hurt the operator.

This manual has been designed to be used as a rapid guide for the
operators which have to work with the new Temperature Controller ERO. So
we will be able to teach the operation and the fast comprehension of the
steps to configure the controller and use it. We will divide the manual in
various sections for easy localisation of the different controller configuration
parameters.

1) INTRODUCTION:

The new temperature controller ERO permits a limitation of output


power to heat by impulses depending on the value of the cycle time. It has
also a selfadjustment function for the regulator parameters.

2) BASIC FUNCTIONS:

- This instrument is able to identify the opening of the circuit for the input of
Termopar (TC) or Heating element (RTD).
- The temperature controller ERO will allow us to AUTO TUNNING, PID
adjustment.
3. CONFIGURATION:

The configuration of the temperature controller is based on two


different phases. The first phase is the configuration of the instrument by
means of the Configuration Data (these data are detailed at the lower list).
Once the data have been introduced at the controller, enter the parameters
of the Operative mode. These parameters can be manipulated when the
controller is in use.

a- General configuration notes:

In order to modify the parameters of this controller, we have to take in


account first the functions keys of the instrument.

“FUNC” Permits to save the new value for the selected parameter
and go on the next parameter (increasing order).
“ MAN” It permits to read out the parameters (decreasing order)
without saving the modifications.
“ ARROW UP “ It permits to increase the visualised parameter.
“ ARROW DOWN “ It permits to decrease the visualised parameter.
b- Configuration:

Before starting the configuration of the controller, we just have to lose


the screw at the front of the instrument, extract it and we would be able to
put the switch V2 in open position (see drawing).

Once the switch is open reinsert the instrument inside its box and
connect it. At the upper display will appear Cnf, this indicates that the device
is ready to be configured.
ATTENTION! If the instrument display the indication CAL, push immediately
the key “ARROW UP “ in order to return to the configuration procedure.
CAL indicates that the instrument is in calibration menu. This menu
shall not be modified as it has been adjusted at the factory.
Once Cnf appears we push the key FUNC and go on to configure the
different parameters. When on the screen appear the parameters to
configure, at the lower display the parameter that we are configuring will
appear, and at the upper display the parameter that we will modify. In order
to modify any parameter, we will proceed always the same way.
1.- Push the key “ FUNC “, so many times as necessary until the screen with
the parameter to be adjusted is reached.
2.- With the keys “Arrow up“ or “Arrow down“ modify the parameter until the
desired value is reached.
3.- Push the key “FUNC“ again in order to confirm the parameter.

controller for configuring it, when it works as application roller.

5000 Only the alarms A1, A2 and the working temperature can
be modified.
When you finish the configuration of all parameters, proceed as
follows :
1. Go to the parameter P18 and enter the key number 5000 to block the
function parameters which will be adjusted later. Then push the key “ FUNC
“.
NOTE: “ When the key number is between 2 and 4999 the SP
(working temperature) can be always modified, permitting in this manner the
access to modify the rest of operative parameters. If the key number is
between the 5000 and 9999, the SP and the two alarms can be always
modified, permitting in this manner the access to modify the rest of operative
parameters.
After this, the configuration is finish, and the instrument will show “- - -
-“ on both displays.
In case of no further programmations, push FUNC and the
instrument will start the configuration procedure.
For a complete configuration, push the keys arrow UP/DOWN programming
the value 234 on the upper indicator.
Push the FUNC key and the instrument starts the auxiliar configuration
showing the following additional parameters (they are suitable to work with
Extruder and application roller, except parameter P23 which will be different
between one and the other – this parameter is used to false the
temperature) :

The auxiliar configuration will be complete and the instrument shows Cnf on
the upper indicator.
2 Disconnect then the instrument and extract it again to place the internal
switch V2 in closed position.
3 Insert the instrument again and connect it.
4 Once the instrument is connected enter the operation parameters. (see
list).
5 After this, proceed to perform a first heating.
6 6 Press the key “SMRT” in order that the instrument makes AUTO
TUNNING, during the heating phase.7
7 Finally, go to the screen nnn, where OFF will appear at the upper side.
With the key arrow up, we will insert a number (for example 7) to close
the key in order not to permit the manipulation of any parameter, except
the two alarms and the Set Point (working port). It must remain blocked
with the light SMART on.
In order to modify the operative parameters in case it is necessary,
we must go to the screen access key to parameters nnn, and place the key
number 5000. This will permit to change the operative parameters. Once
they have been modified we will situate us in the screen nnn, and enter
again the number (7) to close the key and so block the access to the
parameters.

for a fix configuration.

Following table shows the values that have to be introduced in the


controller, when it works as application roller.

OLH is the percentage of time respect the cycle where the output
relay is closed when the heating is performed.
For example if we have fixed C=100 and OLH=65, that means that when a
heating is performed, from each 100 seconds, 65 seconds long will be the
heating elements ON, and 35 seconds long OFF (so it will heat at 65%
power).
If you want that it heats faster, increase the OLH value to heat during
longer time.
In case it works as Extruder, following parameters are guilty :

Put on the main switch :

The temperature regulator remains on and the actual temperature of the


application head appears on the display (A). The display (B) indicates the
programmed temperature to be reached and maintained by the application
head.

Put switches for : Glue Temperature --- in position (ON).


Application roller --- in position (ON).
and the temperature of the head will increase

When the programmed temperature which orders the STOP of the application roller
motor has been reached the LED ALARM 2 (J) will burn.
When it reaches the programmed temperature which orders to put the application roller
motor in motion the LED ALARM 1 (I) will burn.
The LED (MAIN) (H) will be burning when the real temperature of the application head
is lower than the programmed temperature. This indicates that the heating elements are on.
The above mentioned switches have to be in position (ON).

In order to know the temperature that the start of the application roller was
programmed, it is necessary to push the key ìFUNCî (C) until the indicator A1 on the display
(A). On the display (B) will appear then the temperature value for the application roller start.
The start of the application roller will avoid that the liquid glue drops out of the application head.

The recommended value for this temperature, when wooden veneer is used, is approx. 70% of
the application temperature that recommends the glue manufacturer and 60% when paper foil
is used.

For example: If the recommended application temperature is 190∞C, the application


roller motor starting temperature must be :

190x0,7 = 133∞C using veneer


190x0,6 = 114∞C using paper foil

The adjustment is done pushing three times the key "FUNC" (C) until the display for
Alarm 1 (AL1) appears. Then push the key INCREASE (E) or DECREASE (F), until the desired
temperature appear on the display (B). Then push the key FUNC (C) to store the data.

In order to know the temperature that the STOP of the application roller was
programmed, it is necessary to push the key ìFUNCî (C) until the indicator A2 on the display
(A). On the display (B) will appear then the temperature value for the application roller start.
The STOP of the application roller will avoid that the hard glue blocks the application head.

The recommended value for this temperature, when wooden veneer is used, is approx.
60% of the application temperature that recommends the glue manufacturer and 50% when
paper foil is used.

For example: If the application temperature is 190∞C the value to be adjusted to STOP
the application roller must be :

190x0,6 = 114∞C using veneer


190x0,5 = 95∞C wrapping with paper foil

The adjustment will be done pushing four times the key FUNC (C) until AL2 appears
on the display. Then push the key INCREASE (E) or DECREASE (F), until on the display (B)
appears the desired temperature. Push the key FUNC (C) to store the data.

In order to know the programmed application temperature, please read the value on the
display (B).
The recommended value for this temperature is the same as the application temperature
recommended by the glue manufacturer.
The adjustment of the application temperature will be done pushing the key INCREASE
(E) or DECREASE (F) directly from the main display which shows the programmed and the real
temperature. It can also be done pushing FUNC (C) until SP appears on the screen. Push the
keys INCREASE (E) or DECREASE (F) to enter the data and FUNC (C) to store it.
If the entered data is 190∫C, by the first heating the temperature could go up to 198∫C
and then remain stabilized +/- 3∫C respect the entered temperature.

OF THE GLUE FEEDER (EXTRUDER)

OPERATION:

For the glue feeding it is necessary that the switches are in following position :

Glue temperature ------ Position (ON).


Application roller ------ Position (ON).
Glue feeder ------ Position (ON).

In order that the glue feeder works it is necessary that the application roller is turning.
In this case there are two options:

A.- Glue level in application head indicating FULL:


In this case the heating elements will be switched on automatically until the temperature
reaches the value which has been adjusted in ALARM 1 (I) and it will maintain around
this value.

B.- Glue level in application head indicating EMPTY:


The heating elements will be on until the glue reaches the temperature programmed in
ALARM 2 (J) and hereafter the motor for the feeder spindle will be put in motion
automatically.
The temperature will increase until it reaches the value adjusted at set point SP (B)
(see page 9). The glue feeding will continue until the level reaches the FULL position
and orders the STOP of the motor. In this manner the temperature of the glue melter
will be stabilized around ALARM 1 (I).

ATTENTION: We recommend not to put the glue feeder in motion before the head
has reached the programmed temperature (five minutes aprox.). In this manner we
reach that the glue inside the head melts totally.

PROGRAMMATION OF THE MAINTENANCE TEMPERATURE

In order to know the programmed value, please press the key FUNC (C) until the
indicator A1 appears on the display (A).
The LED Alarm 1 (I) will burn and on the display (B) will appear the maintenance temperature
of the EXTRUDER.
This temperature must be enough to get a fast response when the spindle starts introducing
glue into the head and also not too high because liquid glue could be dispersed without control.
The recommended value using veneer glue is 90% and using paper glue 80% of the
application temperature.
For example: For a recommended application temperature of 190∞C the maintenance
temperature must be :

190x0,9 = 171∫C Glue for veneer


190x0,8 = 152∫C Glue for paper

The adjustment will be done pushing three times FUNC (C), and when the LED for A1
(I) burns, push INCREASE (E), or DECREASE (F) until on the display (B) appears the desired
temperature Then push the key FUNC (C) to save the value.

PROGRAMMING OF THE TEMPERATURE FOR SPINDLE MOTOR START

The starting of the spindle motor must be done at a temperature where the glue is fluid
enough. This temperature can be in all cases the application temperature recommended by the
glue manufacturer. e.g. 190∞C.
In case a new adjustment is necessary, push four times the key FUNC (C) until you find
the value of Alarm 2 (J). Once we have the value on the screen push INCREASE (E), or
DECREASE (F) until on the display (B) appears the desired temperature Then push the key
FUNC (C) to save the value.

EXTRUDER FUSION TEMPERATURE PROGRAMMING

In order to know the programmed glue melter temperature read the value that appears
on the main screen together with the real temperature.
The recommended value is 110% of the application temperature of the glue.
For example: If the application temperature is 190∫C, the temperature to be
programmed for the extruder melter 190x1,1 = 209∫C.
The adjustment of the temperature will be done pushing the key INCREASE (E) or
DECREASE (F) directly from the main display which shows the programmed and the real
temperature. It can also be done pushing FUNC (C) until SP appears on the screen. Push the
keys INCREASE (E) or DECREASE (F) to enter the data and FUNC (C) to save it.
