Today, we will learn about our country — Canada!

Where is Canada?

Canada is a very big country. It is the second biggest country in the whole world! Canada is in
North America. It has lots of forests, lakes, mountains, and rivers.

The Canadian Flag

Do you know what the Canadian flag looks like?

It is red and white with a big red maple leaf in the middle. The maple leaf is a special symbol for
Canada. You can see it on coins, signs, and even on hockey jerseys!

The Capital City

The capital city of Canada is Ottawa. Ottawa is where the government works and makes
important decisions for the whole country. Many people visit Ottawa to see beautiful buildings
and museums.

Provinces and Territories

Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories. That means Canada is made up of many parts.
Some of the provinces are:

Short Story: “Luna’s Canadian Adventure”


Luna is a little girl who loves her country, Canada. One day, she decided to explore all the
special places in Canada.

First, Luna saw the big maple leaf flag waving in the wind. She waved back and smiled.

Next, Luna visited Ottawa, the capital city. She saw tall buildings and learned that the Prime
Minister works there.

Then, Luna went to Niagara Falls. She watched the water fall down with a loud roar. It was so
beautiful!

Luna also played in the snow. She built a big snowman and went sledding with her friends.

At the end of her adventure, Luna said,

“I love Canada! It is my home, full of happy people and beautiful places.”
