📜 GENERAL GUIDLINE
📌 Reporting Time: All participants must report by 9:00 AM on 12th July 2025.
📜 E-Certificates: Every participant will receive an e-certificate.
🏆 Prize Allocation: Each player is eligible for only one higher prize.
🎟 Entry Acceptance: The organizing committee reserves the right to accept/reject
late entries.
📑 Eligibility Confirmation: Submitting an entry does not guarantee participation.💰
Prize Money: Will not be shared among players with equal points.
🚫 Non-Refundable Entry Fee: Once paid, the entry fee will not be refunded.
🏠 Accommodation: Outstation players must arrange their own stay.
📄 Age Proof: Parents must submit a valid Date of Birth proof for their children.
⚠️ FIDE-Rated Players: Must provide their correct FIDE ID & Rating.
Incorrect details may lead to penalties or disqualification without
appeal.
📌 IMPORTANT: A rated player must provide their correct FIDE
ID and FIDE rating. If any of the provided information is found
to be incorrect, the organizers reserve the right to penalize or
disqualify the player. No appeals regarding this decision will be
entertained.
📖 RULES & REGULATIONS
1. Tournament Format: The tournament will be conducted under the Swiss System.
2. Rounds: The total number of rounds will be six (6).
3. Time Control: Each player will have 45 minutes + 15 seconds increment per move.
4. Walkover Time (Default Time): A player will be considered forfeited if they fail to
arrive within 15 minutes of the round's start.
5. Automatic Withdrawal: If a player is absent for any round without prior notice, they
will be automatically withdrawn from the tournament.
6. Tie-Break System:
a) Buchholz Cut 1 b) Buchholz c) Sonneborn-Berger d) Direct Encounter
e) Greater number of wins (including forfeits) f) Greater number of wins with Black
pieces
7. Rule Modifications: The organizing committee reserves the right to change or
modify any rules if necessary, without prior notice.
8. Disputes & Protests:
The decision of the organizing committee will be final and binding in all
disputes and rule interpretations.
Any protest against a decision must be submitted in writing along with a
protest fee of Rs. 1000/- within 15 minutes of the incident. The fee will be
refunded if the appeal is upheld.
9. Conduct & Discipline: All participants must maintain silence and discipline inside
the tournament hall.
10. Chess Clock Introduction: The organizing committee may introduce chess clocks
at any stage of any game (with a minimum of 10 minutes per player), and no appeal
against this decision will be entertained.
11. Game Analysis & Friendly Matches: No friendly games or game analysis is
allowed inside the tournament hall.
12. Chess Equipment: International Chess Sets will be used.
13. Tournament Cancellation: In case of an unforeseen cancellation, the organizers'
obligation is limited to refunding the entry fee only.
14. All types of electronic devices/wrist watches/mobiles will not be allowed in the
playing arena.
15. Chess Clocks:
a.Chess clocks will be provided for the top ten tables in each category.
b.Other tables may receive clocks subject to availability.
c.Players are encouraged to bring their own chess clocks, if they have one.
