Activity Title:

"Health Career Role-Play Video: Introduce Yourself as a Health Professional!"

Objective:

Students will research a health career and create a video where they pretend, they are already
working in that career, introducing themselves and explaining their professional role.

Instructions for Students:

1. Choose a Health Career:


Pick one health-related career that interests you (e.g., nurse, dentist, radiologic
technologist, environmental health officer, physical therapist, etc.).
2. Research Your Career:
Find information about:
o Job description and daily duties
o Required education and skills
o Typical work environment (hospital, clinic, community, laboratory, etc.)
o Average salary (optional, bonus points)
o Why your career is important to the health system
3. Script and Practice:
Write a short script where you will introduce yourself as if you are already working in
that career.
Example opening:

"Hi! I’m Dr. Maria Lopez, a Public Health Officer working for the City Health
Department. Every day, I help protect our community by..."

4. Video Recording:
o Speak clearly and confidently.
o You can dress up or use simple props (like a stethoscope, lab coat, clipboard, etc.)
if you want to make it more realistic.
o Your video should be around 2–3 minutes long.
5. Content to Include in Your Video:
o Introduction (Name, Job Title)
o Job Description and Daily Duties
o Required Education and Skills
o Typical Work Environment
o Average Salary (optional)
o Importance of Your Career in keeping people healthy
6. Submit Your Video:
Upload your finished video according to the teacher’s instructions.

Reminders:

 Be creative! Pretend you are really in that career.


 Speak as if you are explaining to people who don’t know much about your job.
 You can add small details like your "years of experience" or "a memorable day at work"
for fun!
