ITEM 1

QRSB is a government agency responsible for processing birth and death


certificates, and maintaining national identification databases. Your sister
wanted to register her child with QRSB. On reaching QRSB offices, she was
informed that the birth registration form is obtained form the agency’s website,
filled manually and resubmitted through the same website. Unfortunately, your
sister has no computer knowledge to carry out the registration and has
approached you for help.

Task

Provide step by step guidelines she should follow to successfully register the
child.

ITEM 2

AB trading centre has experienced a major increase in population along with an


increasing in prolonged use of ICTs. Your friend Moses, a councillor, has noticed
an overwhelming amount of ICT junk dumped carelessly and an increase in
internet abuse.

He feels this may cause environment and health issues among the population.
Moses would therefore like people to be sensitized, but lack information on how
to manage; ICT junk, internet abuse and health issues that may arise due to
prolonged use of ICTs.
Task

Provide the information Moses can use to sensitize the population.

ITEM 3

An author is working on a large amount manuscript for a book and wants to


back up her work on multiple storage devices. However, she also plans to share
part of her work with a co-author in another city.

Task

Recommend a suitable storage medium for the author’s backup needs,


considering data security and ease of access, Also, describe a method for sharing
specific chapter with the co-authors electronically

ITEM 4

Jame runs a small grocery store where he manually keeps track of sales and
inventory in a ledger. He often faces challenges with tracking stock levels and
generating sales report. A friend suggested using a computerized system to
manage his store more efficiently. James received a catalog with various ICTs
that could help him automate his store operation, but he is unsure which tools
to choose.

Task:

Guide James in selectin the appropriate ICT tools to improve his sales tracking
and inventory management.

Advise James on how to keep the ICT tools in good working condition.
